Been away for a long weekend & its taken me nearly 2 days to catch up!
Your Pushkin is absolutely gorgeous Mrs L - my girlie has the same name but just 'cos she's very affectionate & loves to 'headbut' you!
I've been laughing about the Chaos Pixie's & Dust Bunnies 'cos the first thing I said as we walked back through the door was 'My house needs a damn good clean' I just think its down to keeping it all at an acceptable level and the plimsoll line has risen on mine - haha.
Off to load the WM and lug the cleaner upstairs (electric one not human - although maybe.....:))Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
The secret is to never ever look around with your glasses on. Keep them for the computer. If you look around the house with them on then you see stuff!0

Well the dust bunnies are here too, in a small house in the country. It was even worse when we lived near open fields, mix that with harvest time and that was a true nightmare.
I have seen a doctor about my migraine as its still here, and he's given me 6 tablets..... I should only need 1 to help relieve the symptons but I am waiting for it to start. We have a drop in clinic in the morning, just add your name to long list, sit down and wish they would hurry up.
The weather report for this weekend is predicted that it will warm up, now are we talking a good 10 degrees or more???BSC member 137

We also have Anti-Housework Fairies here and we've been in this house nearly 17 years without getting rid of the blighters! :rotfl: I have been known to re-close the curtains if there's sunshine pouring in, as it just highlights all the dust!
According to one forecast, even with the wind it'll feel like 10 or 11 Celsius here - break out the shorts!

I've given up entirely on trying to keep the house dust free and tidy because (1) I have a He Who Knows (2) I have a Lurcher (3) I have a woodstove any one of these factors would cause mess and disruption but all three!!!!!!! No chance at all of keeping it tidy from the start of a room to the end of a room - it's always sabotaged by one or the other, love 'em to bits though!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Mar hope you just get the warm bit of the forecast
I bought a cooked leg of lamb on the market yesterday for £10 and it was huge and perfectly cooked. Last week I bought an uncooked one for £10.99 from the same stall. I got about 20 portions from it (half went to mums ) but when you add in the cooking cost as it wouldnt fit in the sc it was much cheaper to buy the cooked one. Im trying to juggle best quality and value and I think this is one of the best options as we are getting good meat cheaper than sliced cooked meats and it will do main meals too.
TBH Im fairly sick and tired of juggling at the moment, I think I wore out my penny pinching gene and it needs feeding with sunshine to recover :rotfl: I have drawn a line under spending on our newly fenced and extended garden after ordering my apple tree's from DT Browns - thank you D&DD ( I think it was you x) for the link. I got 3 tree's plus one free for £32 delivered and thats my lot now. It was definately a good investment as their future productivity will pay dividends. So now its upto the seed box. Mr A had compost today £11 a bag  Dont think they will sell much at that price.Clearing the junk to travel light

I will get my caravan0 -
Ginny, I'd love to find a source of cooked meats like lamb locally and smaller because I am alone...save on cooking costs but lack of freezer space doesn't help.
Yesterday there was the largest YS sell off I have seen in months but again money was tight but no room...tons of chicken breasts all half price, couldn't move for it.
Even Duck!
No sun here either just b***** cold and a dull colourless sky. Will we get the hot weather promised at the weekend?
It would be most welcome.
I'd love a run out somewhere on Sunday which I see as the traditional day for such plans but the bus companies have other ideas.
I have to come home late tomorrow from a neighbouring town.
I am unable get home after 11pm and both routes/buses I can use will leave me stranded 7 miles from home and the best route won't reach its destination until 00.45.
Then I'd need to take a taxi but with all the changes and detours buses will cost the same as a taxi direct(as after 11pm I can't use my pass)so I'll bite the bullet and stay safe and take the taxi.
It is located two doors from where I'll be, its direct and gets me to my door. Quicker too.
I think even a skeleton bus service should be available until midnight. Further North and South of me there is a service. I could do without this."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson
