    Hi toughies

Lovely sunny day here, but blinking freezing! Washing going out in a minute, may not dry fully, but can finish off on airer. Got a massive ironing pile waiting, and the toy-related chaos left in the wake of 2 small children who've been confined inside cos of the carp weather! :D

I also need to do a stocktake, been trying the GC again, but have spent half this week's money already, and 4 more days to go, so not a promising start.

Going to plant a few seeds in yogurt pots on the windowsills (very narrow, can't get seed trays on) ready for any spring weather that may appear in the next month or so. :D Most of my friends who garden to any degree haven't even started yet either.

    A xo

Well I went to the car boot, omg I wish I had done a stall. It was so busy and freezing cold. People were charging loads, like £10 for a new look body warmer and amazingly someone paid the price asked!!!!!! So I am going to sort out all my clothes that I am too fat for and get everything folded up in boxes and hopefully I will be joining them and doing some selling.

I sorted out some bits n bobs yesterday and they are ready for ebay listing asap. Its been a bit of a lightbulb day. I need to get my big bottom into gear and start either listing or boxing for carbooting. My aim is to make £500 but I do have a spare room and a summerhouse/shed packed with stuff.

Hello all, well DH big R money not hit account yet. Very irritating as i wanted to get the loans paid off, and the minuscule bit of money for emergency fund into an isa this year.

Have this week off and so far have spent it doing housework and paperwork. Result is all stocked up with food, every area of house sparkling, insurance for cars researched sorted and will be paid on pay day, car MOT booked (fingers crossed all please!), washing done, ironing done, dog been to vets (poorly boy but hopefully cheap fix!) accounts done for end of year so know where I am and most importantly have a routine agreed with DH for when he starts his new job next week so we don't end in a pickle with housework dog walking and food preparation!

Off to see poorly aunt tomorrow by the looks of things ..... What a way to spend your birthday!

Happy birthday missrlr :) It has been been so lovely here today. Lots of sunshine and so bright but quite chilly. I have bedding on line and towels jeans etc. I love to see the washing blowing on the line, one of lifes little pleasures. and costs nothing:) then again enjoy it while you can as there might be a tax on it at some point. I signed the petition this lunch time. Reading a lot of comments on it, and real anger out there. Going to have a day out with my dh who is off on Friday so it will be nice to get out and just have a wee drive and a little lunch, nothing expensive, just enjoy his company.:) He works night shifts during the week and two 12 hour day shifts at weekends, so time together is precious. We have so much to be thankful for.
Itching to get planting like so many of us, a truly lovely day. Take good care everyone, and hope you managed to get the freezer sorted Pops Margaret x

Happy birthday for tomorrow, missrlr, have a good day!

I have washing out as well, margaret54, and I agree with you about it being one of life's little pleasures - few enough of them right now! Years ago, when DS1 was in terry nappies, I had 2 lines with nowt on but his nappies and a few white towels - with the sun shining it really reflected loads of light back into the house. A few old lady neighbours said they loved seeing them all blowing on the line! :rotfl:

    Happy birthday for tomorrow misslr!

I've had such garden envy today, been getting cross at my neighbours for not using their lines - why would you not on a day like today?! House hunting atm, and a small outdoors space, even if no bigger than a rotary line, has become a bit of a necessity. Absolutely fed up with the airer out all year round, constantly covered in drying clothes :(

Done sod all today. Probably should have used my time slightly more wisely, but my week and a half of annual leave ends tomorrow, so making the most of the time! Off to donate my blood soon, so that sort of makes up for doing nothing - doesn't it?

Good luck to all you washerwomen, hope it has all dried.

I have spent nearly a whole day getting my oven cleaned in spite of having all the racks etc. gently marinating in cleaner all night. It is my nemesis. I've since decided that I will save like mad and get an oven-cleaning service to do the necessary at least once a year. It will be worth it to me as it is a job I absolutely LOATHE and so I just don't do it. So, my gift to me will be getting someone else to do it.
I know it's not at all MSE and I don't care. So there.

Off to a concert tonight in aid of a new cancer ward at the hospital. Must put a fruit cake in my shiny oven before I go.

    evening toughies :)

Monnagran - I use the orange box with a baggie thing and its brilliant for the racks - the actual oven itself I use Fa!ry prewash stuff in a green squirty bottle -it does really well and doesnt take that long :)

I have done some washing today and tomorrow will retrieve my rotary line for putting washing onto before we head out for our day out :)
