Had a good morning
Bought 2 tickets for local zoo for £9 on groupon (instead of £22). We'd planned to go here in the next few months so this was good timing! Also got free entry to a local monkey sanctuary that we'd planned to go to later (they gave a load of vouchers to work
)
Also have been trying to get rid of a pair of spare concert tickets which I was struggling with and starting to think I'd have to bare the loss. But one of my friends has got a few days off and wants to comeNot only will he be giving me £120 for the tickets but it will be more fun with him
This afternoon I'm hoping to do some work on my friends wedding invites (doing them as my gift to her, I'm a designer) while LO sleepsI should also probably look at housework... Ugh. Lol

All: Been thinking about trying to hit supermarkets when they do the yellow stickers to stock up as we have a big new empty freezer!
Does anyone have any tips as to when is best to hit which supermarkets?0 -
Cheaps, do the next best thing.. post your food bargains!
Food is right there in a low period for me. Food bargains are a wholly appropriate tool to give in times of need you know
I find it a scary prospect that I get it wrong and my relationship with the girls breaks down when we're all older. When I'm cross with the girls ('cos they are little divvils sometimes you know!) DH says I sound like my mother and honest to Betsy (who is she?!) it cuts me up inside. Edit: it's meant to be Heavens to Betsy, meaning shock or surprise... see, me - dragged up :rotfl:
Fuddle don't worry about it, telling off naughty little devils is different.
The smile in your heart still shines even when your cross.0 -

In my defence, a) I have been a grandmother for 11 years.
b) The trolley supports me when I walk.
c) It holds an enormous amount.
d) It only came in tartan (quite a muted one, thankfully).
e) I have used the other type of trolley for donkey's years and prefer my granny one now.
f) Nobody passing by kicks the trolley, and it never tips over.
I am the very proud owner of a 'vintage' ( posh term for old and kNakkerred) tartan two wheeler. It like me is well past it best, but has been a true and faithful servant for the last 16 years.0 -

Hi, well OH is home from work safe and sound but is now fast asleep on the sofa. Snooring away nicely!!!
Today has been a very busy day, finished the painting and started to put things away again. I then decided to get a bathroom cabinet. Got it home, the door was damaged, took it back and the only other one in stock was damaged too. So no new cabinet!!!
When i got back home postman had left one of those red cards for OH. It was a signed for letter. Now why am i in such a state of panic. We dont have any debts, well none im aware of. And from my memory the only letters we ever recieved has demands or baliffs notices in via recorded delivery. Since BR we havent had any nasty postal letters. So here i am, wondering what the letter will be.
Hope the stall went ok stiltwalker. Hugs to those in need, hope you feel better soon. take care xBSC member 137

Well we have had an amazing day - together with some donations already received from family and people who couldn't come we have managed to raise the grand total of £1,115 !!!! So together with a fantastic grant from a local charity we now have the funds to order the buggy on Monday.
I am absolutely jiggered now though - roll on wine and takeaway o'clock - we have most definately earned it today.
Love and hugs to all. X0
