Monmagran - you never know, maybe this could be the making of him and his family. Having her parents close by too might be a calming influence on everyone. Stressful and worrying situation for you and him.

Fuddle - great news on the agency, fingers crossed with it. Does the school offer a holiday club or will you look for a childminder?

Stiltwalker - gorgeous brooches, love the shape of them.

Both DDs have hacking coughs and I've been awake half the night dishing out drinks and meds, feel quite drained but they undoubtedly feel worse. DD1 is only half day today so she's crawled off for the bus, DD2 has a presentation to give so wants to go in, although how she's going to get through a 15 minute talk with her cough is beyond me.

Supposed to get up to 11 degrees here today, shall find more washing to get out, was lovely to get it all dry outside yesterday, I washed all the kitchen curtains and linings ready to pass to my Mum who's going to alter them to fit her windows, took 7 machine loads but they all got done, dried, aired and packed up ready to go. Lovely.

    Morning everyone :)

Pooky I know there is an afterschool club and in the holidays but my MIL is also being made redundant next month so has offered to watch them. All depends on the hours I guess.

It may come to asking my mam and sister for a few favours... yes, wish me luck in that one.

Going into the office at 11. Should know more later.

Monnagran, how are you feeling this morning? Hope you're alright with circumstances. Bit of a bummer re: peace and quiet wise but might just turn out to be quite nice :) hope so!

Morning everyone, thankyou so much for the birthday wishes. I had a lovely day, ended up going to DD for a drink and movie.

Fuddle, good luck for today. I hope the interview goes well.

Monnagran, I hope you still get to continue with your peaceful and helpful life. Maybe they will end up the other side of the island, and not close to you.

It is going to be a lovely day here, the sun is out already. I think i will have to get this bid bottom into gear and start tidying up. The conservatory needs a major sort out, why over winter does it become a dumping ground?? Carboots start here after the 6th march, so i will be sorting and organising things to take there The money will be handy too.

Yesterday the council wrote to me and the rent is going up at the end of the month, £3.25 a week. Still it could be a lot worse. And then the water rates came in, just short of £500. I have to pay over 10 months again, so thats another £50 a month. I rang and asked about a meter, but not sure if we will save or not.

Well must get sorted, DD wants me to take her into collage.

    Morning all.
Fuddle - good luck with the agency this morning.
    Monnagran - (((hugs)))

We have sunshine! It is wonderful to see and even better to feel after the cold days we have had. Laundry will be put out very soon to dry.
I have lots of housework to do today (urgh boring) so will be getting on with that and waiting to hear if my sister has had her baby. She is being induced today after going two weeks over. A novelty for her as her other two children were 6 week preemies!
  • Morning Toughies lovely sunny day today and daffs beginning to open in the front garden, lovely.........just in time to be picked by late night passers by coming out of the pub on Saturday evening cos they forgot Sunday was mothers day!!!! Happens every year, I don't begrudge them a few but some years they ALL go, that makes me unhappy!!!!!

MONNAGRAN you have no choice in your DS being in the area, but what you might do is show him exactly how demanding your responsibilities are in your life with the Rev. Show him the realities of the lives of the people you help everyday and make it clear that thier needs must of necessity come before his. It might make him see life from a different perspective and I hate to suggest he isn't but become a little more adult in his attitudes. I hope he can sort out the problems in his own home area, I feel that if the incomers are a known problem family the council will have to remove them if enough pressure is applied by enough people. We have had similar problems in the village and it takes a little time, but sooner or later the troublemakers are moved on to unfortunately blight someone elses lives. He can't just run from it, it will colour his whole life if he does, good luck, Cheers Lyn xxx.

So much to do today, but I had to bring the baby bunnies in for a run and they're so cute, they keep jumping onto my lap for a cuddle. I guess they're only little still so they have a run around and a good lick and gnaw of everything and then must get tired and want a snuggle.
Good luck today Fuddle, and anyone else who needs it.

Awwwwww teeny baby! So cute :) is this your first neice / nephew?

My SIL is due in July with my first nephew / neice and I can't wait! My ex had neices for the 7 years we were together and I loved being an auntie, very excited :)

I really need to get going! The weather is gorgeous so I should put washing on but the sofa is too comfy!

Need to pop to the shops as friends coming for dinner tonight. So also need to tidy up. Plus going to baby group and a few girls from antenatal are coming for the first time. Can't wait to meet there babies.

Just hoping LO naps this morning as he normally sleeps through baby group!

Good luck for today fuddle, hope all goes well.

Sunny here as well, gorgeous and outside smells oddly pleasant for a change! Pity I can't get out, got cooking and domestication to take care of before a lovely bit of overtime at work later. So wish I had a garden so I could just pop out for 10 minutes, but no such luck :( time to be getting on really, but I am enjoying the sunshine through the windows. Well, the sunshine combined with next door's rather foliage filled guttering and the usual thong hung on the handle of their open bathroom window. I have the feeling they've not ever stuck their head out to realise how close our living room is to said window!

Sorry, bit of a babble there, just trying to egg myself on into the day, thought I was doing quite well, then realised it was already 11, whooops...

Well so far today, ive taken DD to collage and i popped into work. I have a weeks holiday, just using up the time!! I so wish i was there, oneof my collegues is very ill and we are so short staffed as im off means she has had to work. I did offer to go in, but she said she couldnt ask me to stay. So im at home, sort of at a loose end. Washing is in the machine, just deciding if to list my dining table and chairs on said auction site. It doesnt get used much as its quite big, and doesnt fit the lounge any more. Hence why we have the dining table stuffed in the conservatory. Decisions, decisions. They money would be handy too.......

On my way home i called in hoMEBAse, managed to get a damaged tin of paint, small dint in top but still sealed, bathroom paint for £12. It should be £25, so i did buy it. I have wanted to paint the bathroom for a year, but couldnt afford to before. I am excited, sad hey!!

    Must get myself sorted....
