  • Just sat and sobbed at Call the Midwife. Must be an emotional wreck!

Bringing back all my dreams of being a nun.
  • Whilst everybody else was getting their kicks from Ripper St, I was over with the utterly wonderful Prof. Brian Cox on Beeb 2. Eye candy and education. :p Sorry, but that does it for me everytime. :D

That's more what I watch when I do "TV" but though I believe I that I am intelligent...Brian has lost me a few times during this series...

I am in a dreamy mood listening to music full of sweeping orchestral arrangements...

  • Oh Bluebag - I feel your pain! I'd be lost without my Wusthof.

Kidcat - hugs - I get really mad if anyone suggests I don't work 'cos I blummin well do and generally much harder than the twits suggesting otherwise.

We spent the last day of half term at the play barn in Granny's town before a visit to Granny where DD managed to eat an unconsionable amount of Grann's HM shortbread - 6 pieces!!! Needless to say there was a fair amount of dinner left uneaten but I'll let her off as it was really good shortbread. DS shot straight up the bumpy slope onto the upper area then straight accross the cargo net without a single bit of help - he just gets better every time. You should have seen him by dinner time though - poor little chap was almost comatose! He'd completely worn himself out bless - I'm seeing a hard time tomorrow morning getting him out of bed so we can take his sister to nursery. Think we may just have a quiet telly day while I do some OU - I have my first essay to submit a week on Tuesday so better get cracking

    Take care all - Hugs.

Not my type at all looks wise, not sure why, but he irritates me beyond belief, although usually anyone talking science usually does it for me...I've really tried to get into his programmes but just can't.

Yup, i feel exactly the same. Tried to watch his recent series but 5 minutes in, of episode 2 i couldn't bear it any longer and had to turn it off. He annoys the hell out of me.

I like Brian Cox. I think he brings science to the masses in a good way but yip, I too zone out and find myself struggling to understand some concepts each and every programme but physics an chemistry have also been difficult for me to grasp so I doubt I should be blaming Brian for my inadequacies :p

Woke at 2.30 stressing about not getting into uni. It must be really playing on my mind.

Just caught up with BBC news headlines and found that an eastender actor is quitting. Is that so important? Should that take up one of 8 slots available on my news app for UK news? Really getting fed up with beeb news.

Off I go to try and get a couple hours sleep.

Edit: that's more like it, defected to sky news for now and found report saying that the price of burgers and meat products is set to rise as industry passes on the cost of meat testing with regard to the horse meat scandal. I read the words ' if consumers want a high quality product then they have to pay for it' as I no longer subscribe to that kind of meat anyway I'm not phased but I do think its extremely cheeky and however they dress it up, the consumer has been duped and now the consumer is expected to pay more to buy truthful items?
  • and i can't sleep either lol

I'm glad that people find Brian Cox annoying, that means less people have to share him :p

Just been back to the docs, first set of tablets didn't solve the stomach infection (they reduced it temporarily), so am now on the second set. Oh deep joy. Am resigned to spending the next couple of days mostly in bed as the tablets wipe me out.

Have you guys had the new Sherlock series yet, "Elementary"? It's on over here and so far I'm loving it.

Sorry Softstuff but you have to share with me too....I have a bit of a soft spot for Mr Cox and his partner in crime Mr O'Brien (tall, Irish, intelligent men phoooowwwar)

    Anyway.....

    Morning

Dark and dank here, not quite sure what it's doing out there, the kittens are coming in soggy but I can't see rain, still a bit of snow on the ground from yesterday. I need a couple of dry days to get some wood chopped. If we're set for cold and snowy bits during March I need to get organised.

Off to double check the kitchen order today (20% off the units and a further 15% off before the 28th and then 6% cash back if we click and collect...will pay via Mr T card to get points too and then transfer from savings) and going to go pick floor tiles (also 6% cash back if I order them online). I plan to make this kitchen as cost effective as possible.
