Morning everyone, finally got to sleep at around 10.30. After next door had finally finished doing their diy, they had an argument. Blooming annoying. Just dropped DD at the bus stop to go to collage, so i think i will hoover upstairs for a while :-) If i have to be up, so can they. TBH im still annoyed.
PAYDAY today yay!!! need petrol, gas and electric top ups, and i can finally pick up the picture from our holiday i had framed. Its very special as it shows my 2 DD with a dolphin, they swam with it for their birthday present and part xmas present. I expect we will never get the chance to go again, but im proud to say 3 years of frugal living, saving and selling allowed a holiday. I should explain, my mum also helped, as after my dad passing away she said all the money in the bank cant save you when your numbers up. So we all bit the bullet and went. MAGIC!!!
I have work today, on route i need to go to beales. My tumble dryer i got in november has decided to start not working. The one time i needed it, it blows out cold air GGGRRRRR. They are going to replace it, so im happy. just need to arrange a day for them to deliver/exchange it.
Im just watching itv player, about aylesbury prison. OMG there is some seriously messed up lads on there. It is like watching an adult have a pre schoolers tantrum. Not sure how they can justify how they are behaving. 3 have taken a person hostage in a cell. Definatley an eye opener.

BLUEBAG my best veg knife went awol during last winter and turned up in the summer in the compost heap, it had been put out with the peelings, if you have a compost caddy in the kitchen like me, it might be worth a furtle through the top few inches of the outdoor heap just in case, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Just been catching up - yup 'Call the Midwife' did it again for me (why do I find my self 'pushing' along with the mums???)
Fuddle & Nutty P Hate to tell you but DH's dont get any better over the years. My DH will be 70 in April & he bought himself a trike & has grown his beard back - still he's harmless. He wont go out on it if its raining, too cold, windy etc etc:rotfl:
I was giggling all morning last week - he & his mates go for a ride out to a cafe about 20 miles away on a tuesday if the weathers good - 3 other 'old farts' turned up on their trikes to see if he was going. Looked like kids asking if he could come out & playSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
When DH bought himself a motorbike another of his friends got one at about the same time - and yes, they were like little boys again but instead of going for a cycle ride and buying some sweets and a comic, they went for a spin on the M20 and had breakfast at a greasy spoonIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Yup - that's what mine does too. Swear they all revert to childhood either that or they never get past pubertySmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

mcculloch29 Whilst everybody else was getting their kicks from Ripper St, I was over with the utterly wonderful Prof. Brian Cox on Beeb 2. Eye candy and education.
Sorry, but that does it for me everytime.
Me too. I often do not understand what he is saying but still enjoy listening to him say it.
It is the last day of my leave today ad I start my new job tomorrow. I am really looking forward to it. I just need to speak to HR today as my contract has arrived and they have me commencing my new job tomorrow and not today which gives me a day break in service and I am not sure if that is important or not pension wise.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

Had my sister on the phone panicking about not being able to get her baby milk anywhere. Apparently there is a shortage due to starch (she said) shortage because of crop failure.
Goes to show, TScanHTF and we can't expect endless stocks of what we want when we want it. She's changes brands but not happy about it.
My family said I was stingy for breast feeding my two (mam all for the bottle and said it was THE way to feed in the 80's)
I haven't heard I. In the news mind and my sis is abit tuned to the moon so please don't worry.
Spent all morning finding a doctors that will take us. Everyone I have tried has said no because we're not in the catchment area. I made a list of the ones that I had tried and finally found one that would take us... 12 minutes drive away. The one next to the girls' school is our nearest but as we didn't have their post code they wouldn't entertain us. Been really frustrating as we seem to be in no mans land. The good thing is that I have found where I want to live forevermy new docs is in a lovely area, plenty if greenery and loads of mature houses that would fit a woodburner beautifully. so great to be able to dream again. Everything pins on university but if I don't get in this year ill try again next
wont be giving up!
Poorly throat today, feels like knives down there0 -
Fuddle it has been on the news about Aptamil and another milk, going for silly money on ebay apparently. Difficult I guess if your baby is used to that taste.0
