My neighbours complain about very little, I bother no one, play music and the radio quietly, rarely have the tv on etc...no parties and yet even when Mum was ill they'd do DIY at silly times and you'd think they were coming through the walls.
The other week the back bedroom was vibrating...and if the parents are out and the young lad is in the so called music is on so loudly, my music is more in the stye of Sinatra and the like...or 60's pop."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. I should say I have my moments and do like what may be seen as heavy rock, the truth is that as I don't hear much of it on the radio that side of my music knowledge is lacking...but I have enjoyed some of what I have found on Planet Rock radio...

I'm 60 this year and play music really loudly in the car, singing and bopping along
especially if The Boss comes on. Booooorrrrrnnnnn In the UUUUUUSSSSSSSAAAAAAA, I was BBBBBOOOOORRRNNNN in the USAAAAAAAA...:rotfl:
Me too....Must dig some out. I've been playing Frankie goes to Hollywood this week in the car, and it's got 'born to run' on it. Thanks for the reminder! LOL!

Anyone watching Ripper Street? It's very tough and gruesome, but I love the way it shows London and the way people lived...it's a cross between the wild west and straight laced communities.0

I watched the first few (Jerome Flynn swung it for me) but seeing not as in Soilder, Soilder and beating the living day lights out of people was a bit of a shocker for me. I saw the one about the photography/sexual killing and although horrifying I found it a real eye opener. Not watched it since though as probably a bit too thought provoking for me and TV/books that make me think of nasties I shy away from.
I'm more of a Sherlock fan, knowledgable, gritty enough without me going eeek.0 -
It took me a while to realise who Jerome Flynn is! I love the series, it is hard to see sometimes, but it's a good reminder how tough life was, I believe now is the safest we've ever been, despite what newspapers say.0

I love Ripper street, its strange and dark and the way they talk is almost Shakesperian. I record it so I can watch it in peace. Im also a Sherlock fan, Jeremy Brett is my perfect Sherlock, I loved him to bits. They reckon Jeremy died of a broken heart after his wife passed away , so sad.
Im a heavy rock fan and cannot sit still in the car when Oh has the radio on. He is always turning the volume down in the middle of my favourite tracks and I have to bite my tongue..A LOT...
Trying to remember how to make a log cabin patchwork with the sewing machine. Have just cut up all Ds's old work shirts ready and a couple of DGS's little shirts. The quilt is for DGs and I have waited ages for DS to get fed up of the work shirts so I could pinch themGuess I will have to google it

Oh Ginny, so glad someone else feels the same way about Ripper St, it's the final one tonight, not sure how I'll cope! I adore the music too.
I loved Jeremy Brett too, I think he is the best Sherlock. Though I surprised myself that I also loved Benedict Cumberbatch in his version!0 -
Someone has lost my best, ancient can't do jack in the kitchen without it knife while I was poorly. I have torn the house asunder trying to find it .
I have been out and bought two new ones so far, but nah, no good.
I am utterly, utterly bereft.0
