I earn just short of £10 per day. Is it worth keeping the job on if I were to get a car for it?
in my opinion no, take in petrol, road tax,mot ,repairs and the odd parking sorry not more optimistic

:( In terms of economics, no; you'd probably spend more than you'd earn.

For emotional reasons, or as a career-bridge, maybe, but only you'd be able to tell.

Money is the tune that sings the loudest. If it cost me more than I earn I just couldn't do it, regardless of what I wanted.

Just pondering while I crochet puff stitch my red mittens ;)

And who launders a "new" garment before they wear it for the first time?

I do sorry, I don't like the feel of new stuff. I do however love the feel of a bargain. The Timberland coat that I paid £5 for from Oxfam being one of my finest. Even my little elf loves charity shops and searching for the treasures that they hold.

There's also a lot of things that bypass the charity shop altogether. My friends and I often pass things between ourselves, and we also have a local facebook page for free things where clothes and childrens items are passed on free of charge. I have a lovely computer chair that was given to me free, and I have passed on several of the house elf's old toys and some double bedding that was no longer required.

Hi everyone, hope your all well. Ive had one of those days, as in i had the 1st day of my induction. Well its turned out the job is only a 8 hour contract, not the 16/20 i was promised. So ive had tears and 'what havve i done' time. I handed my notice in last week, giving 4 weeks notice. So ive bitten the bullet and rang my area manager to ask for if i can retract my notice.

Im sat here crying, what have i done. I have to work, and i have to earn at least minimum wage at 16 hours for us to be ok. We lost our house years ago through the last recession, and then ended up with such a short fall we had no option other than the bankruptcy. I really hope ive made the right decision by staying put.

OH says do what makes you happy, but it isnt an option. We have to live, and its unfair for him to do extra hours every week to try and make up the money each week.

Im sorry for burdening you all.

Fuddle they are lovely. I like the colour. Thumbs are not really hard. Sometimes I find putting the work down and making a cuppa before going back to something helps to get my brain round a difficulty.

I put the picture in my above post. I made two pairs in white sparkle yarn.

would this be of any help fuddle?

    Nuttyp (((hugs)))
