PIC:_ I am so angry on your behalf! how dare they send such an inflammatory note home without explanation or contacting you. you need to go and see them, bless you, you must be livid!
Mar:- If possible sit and have a coffee with your neighbour and assess for yourself his state of mind and abilities. It may be that he has something as simple as a urinary tract or ear infection, and as you know that would be enough to de-stablise him. Make an appointment with your mutual GP and give him a heads up. It's not interfering, it's just a helping hand to someone you obviously like and respect.
Sorry Pooky I don't know much about sleeping bags, hopefully someone will answer you soon.Give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”0 -
OK, I've had a think about the "racist" remark. My thoughts are that if the child did indeed do this then it would be too serious for a note home in his planner. I would expect it to be a head's appointment job. I'd now make an appointment with the head and ask for an explanation.
Mar, his epilepsy may not be completely controlled - he could be having petit mal seizures. I'd talk to his doctor if I were you. It's like when someone has an accident and they're unconscious - they can't tell the ambulance people what happened, someone else has to.
p.s. sorry if I've missed anyone else's important stuff out. I had the house elf's birthday on Sunday, I was shattered from that and not sleeping properly yesterday and nature decided to treat me to a migraine today to help me along. All thoughts are a bit muffled today.0 -

MrsLurcherwalker wrote: »Folks, we've had a disagreement between two of our regular posters which both of them have decided to draw a line under. Neither of them has posted a word about the incident since then and I applaud both of them for being civilised to each other and the rest of us contributors who are regulars on this particular thread. What has happened is some posting by others who read but do not post regularly that has been a little caustic and has ruffled feathers here. I don't think that is enough to cause the closure of this as a thread, I'm sure that the Board Guides who do such a good job of monitoring all the threads must experience much worse behaviour in the day to day running of the MSE network. We all get along perfectly well without having to agree completely with everything, don't let a little dissent spoil your participation in the joy of sharing that we have on here, Cheers Lyn xxx. Having said that, this thread is open to all posters and readers, please if you are going to join in be civil, you'll be very welcome if you are.
Lyn many thanks for this post sums everything up beautifully.0 -
GQ - yes the kittens snuggle up together, groom each other (whilst kicking each other in the head) and play together......we got them all from the same rescued place but one is possibly from another litter.
I could take up the whole thread with photos (like I do my FB page - sorry to those of you I have on there) So I've done a blog post with plenty of pics for you.
(click on my name on the left of the page and visit my homepage - for those who don't know how)
Life is fluffy when there's kittens to snuggle.
Just been to look at your cat picturesTalulah has the most amazing whiskers. Not going to show my cats, they would be jealous :rotfl:

Thank you for the kind comments about the anti-charity shop lady. Made me feel much better! She made it sound like I was rummaging through bins or something!
I am pretty rubbish at confrontation so I just take the comments and feel upset!0 -

I am pretty rubbish at confrontation so I just take the comments and feel upset!Hun, I meant to put something in my earlier post as I was incensed on your behalf but for some reason I can never get more than 3 multiquotes at once.
As someone else said, how many people have tried on a "new" garment in a new shop before someone buys it? And who launders a "new" garment before they wear it for the first time?
Seem to me that people who specialise in putting you down in this way are saying nowt about you and your choices but quite a bit about their own character and values.
For the record, almost everything I own is secondhand, and that's charity shops, hand-me-down from friends, jumble and bootsale stuff. Some of my fave clothes have cost me all of 20p each at the jumbly or booter.
If people want to put me down for it; get on with it. I'm gonna be laughing all the way to (insert holiday destination of choice) which I could afford because of my thrifty OS ways.I've just had some more of my banana bread. It's rather scrummy. Baby's first effort. I have a poor track record with cakes, esp my famous Victoria Frisbees so am feeling a quiet sense of accomplishment which will no doubt amuse the competant cooks amongst us.
NB: A Victoria Frisbee is rather like a Victoria Sandwich, but a lot flatter and harder. You can throw them at the ducks and sometimes even sink one if you're especially accurate.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

If I move, it will 15.4 miles away from my job. so that just over 31 miles per day.
I earn just short of £10 per day. Is it worth keeping the job on if I were to get a car for it?0
