Thanks and I know I need to calm down
I would like to know if this has upset the child or he has said something and they have said that is racist etc.
I am more worried about DSS having to write a letter saying he is sorry for being racist when he did not think he was.

Jem, i would like to once again volunteer my services as chief taster. fudge is my favourite type of sweetie.
I'm also p'd off that DH has taken the curtains down to wash them and they're still wet in the washing machine and it's made the LR really cold, while he's tucked up warm in bed feeling sorry for himself my feet are icy.
eta; i'm not annoyed that he was trying to help, only that he's got half the job done then left me to finish off again.
OMG you have a DH who even realises you CAN take the curtains down to be washed!0 -
PIC - What on earth does the teacher think she is doing  Honestly, I do wonder sometimes. Poor child, not a very good way to be taught about tolerance.
Fuddle, fingers crossed!
GQ - New avatar huh? What you trying to tell us? :rotfl: Is it a bee or a wasp?
Naughty night - Sausage, beans and chips for tea - yum !:TThink big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -

Naughty night - Sausage, beans and chips for tea - yum !:T:D:p 'S a BUMBLEBEE.
It has no significance whatsoever, bar that I love bumblebees and was bored with my pic of jamjars off the IKEA website.
I'm a bit wobbly about changing avatars (can't always do it) so had delayed changing it for a while in case the new one didn't take. One of my many IT blindspots.Looks a bit mental, doesn't it? I'll see how I get along with it.

LOL, yes. It's not always a good thing though. He's obsessively tidy and whinges and nags. because he works full time and i 'only' work part time it means everyting else is my job and if i wash the tea pots but dont dry and put them away he goes on about it all day! All downstairs has to be hoovered avery day and dusted, kitchen spotless, washing done and put away every day, and the kids are my 'job' too. so uniforms, packed lunches, cooked meals, homework, school runs, bath and bedtime, activities, fun things, birthday parties. then there's the pets to walk/clean/feed and the allotment to keep running, and the ptfa and my little extra cleaning job and trying to get parents to let me childmind their littlies...
and despite sitting on the sofa all last night and not talking to me once, he's not happy that i want to take an hour out and do bootcamp because he wants us to do the same again tonight (if he drags his sorry as$ out of bed.
I'm sorry, I told you, I blame it on the weather!
would you believe I actually love the man (doesn't sound like it does it?!:rotfl:)
Fuddle, sounds promising on the house front, I so hope it works out. keeping my fingers crossed x
Off out in a mo. night all xfreecycler and skip diver extraordinnaire:cool:0 -
PIC - hope you can talk to the teacher and head tomorrow and see what's going on. Always horrible to have to sit on these things over night.
GQ - love the new avvie, I've not changed mine since I joined, I'm scared of losing my wacky panda.
Fuddle - hope the house is just right on Saturday.
Welcome newbies and lurkers
Now I don't watch much TV but I've just seen an advert for Mr T's, woman walking down the aisle to the sounds of "hello" by Lionel Richie......I won't spoil it but it's simple, catchy and it made me laugh out loud, long time since an adverts done that.
Lulah kitten has a poorly tummy, she's feeling very sorry for herself after a wash down and trim...the perils of being long haired. She's snuggled in front of the fire, bless her.
Anyone have any ideas on my earlier post regarding decent sleeping bags to donate to a homeless shelter???"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
PIC I'd go down to the school and ask who reported him, was the other child upset, are they still friends. It sounds like a silly !!! of a teacher to me. The poor wee soul didn't mean anything hurtful at all.0

I love Docky and look forward to his posts. We're fairly sure our cats are little furry aliens from another planet. They like water and when the fireworks start they rush to the window for a look. Happily there weren't many last night as it's actually me that finds the constant banging very annoying.
I think my winter store cupboard is just about done. I'll be happier with another couple of bags of cat litter stored though. The last time it snowed the "cat inna tree" thought the snow was great and was flicking paw fulls of it round the garden. Then she squatted down and the look of horror on her face was a treat. She has lots of moments of horror to be fair. The last one was two days ago when I shouted at her for climbing into the hamster cage while I was playing with the hamster. I think she was hoping I wouldn't notice she was sitting in the cage and would just put the hamster back in so they could ummmm bond?0 -
I wish I didn't have to work. It has taken ages for me to catch up today!
Byatt greetings to a neighbour! I thought you were in the SW but didn't realise you were quite so close. If I ever need a cat sitter I'll know who to contact - so long as you don't mind dealing with the various live (and dead) stock they keep bringing in.
GQ As Byatt has said, Axminster is a lot further south than the Peak District. If you ever head this way let me know and I will warn them to put out the red carpet!
There is some good news here today with Mr thriftyniftyme (I think!) getting a job and Fuddle's potential house to look at.
Hugs to anyone who needs them.
