Unix, have my fingers crossed for you hunny.xx

Stiltwalker, thats wonderful news, thank you for sharing it with us all. They say special children are born to special parents and thats certainly true with you both. Lets hope you can keep up with him :D

My DD is so good with DGS that it amazes me, of course she gets down but one look at his smiling face and you know he is such a happy boy. His Daddy has just spent a month teaching him the alphabet and in true auty style he knows it backwards too! :T When he woke up here on Sunday morning he opened the bedroom door and stood at his gate shouting Manma Manma cos he wanted a cuddle considering he stopped talking for a year he is certainly making up for it now.

Lynn love the squirrel tale, clever little bu**ers though arent they.

I normally smoke outside (evil habit I know) but I am stood at the back door having a fag while the tempest does it best outside. I would need a hard hard and steel toecaps to venture outside tonight.

The sound of wind howling and stuff banging and crashing about is wicked. I'm scared of something braining me.

The hail was hitting the windows that hard I couldn't hear the telly. Unmerciful it is out there.

To all those in the baltic north, god help ya!

Re those 'stray eyebrows' that wander down to your chin - I've been using the epilator bit on my ladyshave - once every 10 days or so seems to do the trick. It takes a bit of getting used to (have to grit my teeth) but I 'spose its no different to waxing. I also have one that seems to sprout about 1/2 inch overnight eeek!!!

I tried an epilator once as my best friend bought a shiny new one and was trying to sell me on the benefits of it.

I invented a whole new set of swear words.

Evening toughies, I have been managing to read but posting is difficult from the hospital.

Good luck with the job interviews unixgirl

    Congratulations stiltwalker on littlies progress

Lyn - I love squirrels, one walked up and sat in front of me last week whilst I was walking to a meeting.

    And hugs to everyone too.

I have spent the best part of two days in hospital, mum has stopped blocking and complaining after the staff commented on how much I changed things and kept everyone up and going. I am determined I will be strong for all of the family so am really keeping people on their toes,
am fast learning to be a competent nurse too, as the others find it too hard to do some stuff.

I am keeping on top of the general stuff too, making sure IVS are refilled etc so that my cousin isnt having to keep bothering the staff. I am finding keeping up the appearance of bright and breezy is taking a toll and my back and head are both killing me.
My other cousin arrived today finally which was good so now I think we are all ready for him to slip away peacefully as the amount of pain and suffering is beyond what is reasonable.

Take care of yourself too honey, I've walked in those shoes and it's painful and exhausting, the greatest toll on me was emotionally.
Try to surround yourself with people who are positive for you and build you up to keep your strength.

Watching someone in pain and suffering is soul destroying and frightening, try and find someone you can talk to about it, Macmillan are superb at being there if that's appropriate for you.

Prayers and God's blessings to you. May peace come soon.

Got to share - DS is making such amazing progress at the moment - from the first of January when he very first pulled to standing and climbed on the sofa he's been getting better and better every day. He is now so confident sitting and kneeling up and he's started to do some of his crawling in 4 point (proper crawling) rather than flat, commando style, and today he did standing holding onto my hands but taking a lot of his weight himself and just using me for balance!
    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
My parents haven't seen him since the 10th Jan - he's done so much since there they're going to be amazed when we go up this weekend.

Wanted to tell you all as you are all there when I'm down and feeling opressed by it all - but it's not like that all the time and today I could dance!!

Lovely news Stiltwalker, really nice to see.

Just had 2 phonecalls, the first was to say a company wasn't progressing my application. The second? I have a second interview for another role!

Given how pain free I find epilating legs and underarms, I tried it once.... elsewhere. I'd have made a sailor blush.

Oh Kidcat *hugs* I was crossposted.

You be careful and take care of yourself too. The emotional drain, let alone physical, of keeping that up for any length of time is incredible.

    Have another *hug*
