Weather is awful Tonsils as per your forecast. Baltic outside with cold wind and horizontal sleet. Been out for shops and glad to be in at the fire now. They are saying on Scotland weather forum everything is closed up on the western isles, with average wave heights at 12m. Hurricane force winds in the mountains.0

Got to share - DS is making such amazing progress at the moment - from the first of January when he very first pulled to standing and climbed on the sofa he's been getting better and better every day. He is now so confident sitting and kneeling up and he's started to do some of his crawling in 4 point (proper crawling) rather than flat, commando style, and today he did standing holding onto my hands but taking a lot of his weight himself and just using me for balance!

My parents haven't seen him since the 10th Jan - he's done so much since there they're going to be amazed when we go up this weekend.
Wanted to tell you all as you are all there when I'm down and feeling opressed by it all - but it's not like that all the time and today I could dance!!0 -

I have to confess that I'm a chin-plucker, too!
I have found recently, though, that regular exfoliating seems to slow down the hair growth, not sure why unless it's a shock to the system or something. I remember when I was a child that a friend of my great-aunt's was a bearded lady - she was always dressed in a tweed skirt suit, a bit shouty and school-teacherish (think Margaret Rutherford as Madame Arkati! :rotfl:), and actually cultivated her chin hair. It was such a shock to us as children, but she was delightful lady!
Well done to junior stiltwalker how fantastic!
We've had blustery showers all day, and the wind's biting. Got to go to zumba tonight, so may warm up then.

Yes I have been reading the weather forums and the waves sound horrendous. They have some problems in Ireland as well as the wave surge of up to 15 meters is coming on top of a high tide. Most of them are commenting on the horizontal sleet...which will probably turn to snow sooner or later. My sister said she had rain, sleet, more rain, sunshine and now its snowing. Unfortunately its going to move to other areas and get worse as the evening goes on. Glad you are staying warm and safe!“The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin.” Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC):A0 -

You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0
