I have some good news, I have a job interview this friday. All positive vibes very welcome :o. I need a job and soon. This one sounds really good. Its only 3 months work and I would need to set up my own ltd company to get paid (the joys of IT work) but it would be money. Pennies are very tight at the moment.

Eminating positive vibes from here. Good luck!

OH has been diagnosed as having high blood pressure (has started on meds) and a slightly raised cholesterol.

That's on the cards for me Wednesday this week...I've been sent to the GP by my optician as they've picked signs of cholesterol up in my eyeballs
:( Sigh. I know they will want me to diet, but I've been looking and I really don't think I eat a lot of high cholesterol stuff...there's a chance I'm just prone to the signs and don't actually have it :(

Awful 2t. The wind is going to be so cold. I saw the weekly countryfile forecast and it was bleak. Bitterly cold :(

Hey, good luck unixgirlx! :j That's good news. It's about time a job dropped in your lap. Go get 'em!

I'm definitely going to try Aldi's foundation. Anyone know the price?

    http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/product_range/product_range_13693.htm £2.39 Cheap as chips!!!

I can't see it on their page, but their pumpy day moisturiser thing was fantastic. I used that for ages, before I got spoilt and got some really expensive stuff from Approved foods for next to nothing!!!

Don't worry about it if you have to go on a low cholesterol diet, my OH was the biggest carnivore and totally married to the chip pan and kebabs until his heart attack. He still thinks greens are for rabbits and would shudder from scalp to kneecap at kale!!

I switched the whole family to low cholesterol overnight and everyone loves the food.
There is a massive range of foods you can eat on it and I'm quite sure you would easily rise to the challenge of providing tasty meals. The shopping bill went right down too.

    Good luck Unixgirl!!

Mrs VP I quite liked the ginger cordial but it does need tweaking. Definitely more ginger or leave it to infuse for longer. I might also use two lemons - I quite like the taste with one but two would make it look cloudier and might be closer to the Belvoir ginger beer I am trying to replicate.
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Had a shock. Been spreading my wings and venturing around MSE. I asked for foundation recommendations as my skin is changing. I looked up the price and it was £30. Having been around here for so long I forget that MSE isn't about not having money. I can't pay £30 for foundation. That is half my weekly shopping budget. I wish I could go au natural. The problem is, if I do my confidence takes a nose dive. What a ridiculous problem huh?

Just watched a piece on Countryfile about farming (surprise, surprise :D ) the farmers wife was saying that they didn't make any profit last year. She was asked how they survived. Tax credits. :( A farmer and his wife, working horrendously for nothing. Taking from the state because they have to. I'm angry on their behalf. Is this the supermarkets fault?

Just asked my beauty therapist DD for some recommendations for you to look at, she suggests:
So energeTic foundation 3.49, RimMel BB cream which is a tinted moisturizer 6.99 both at b00ts that adjusts to your skin tone and 2 True from super durg 1.99
    Hope that helps.

SDG I'd like to bop each and every one of your family on the ears and tell them you need a break.

Go out for the day or at least for the morning and some of the afternoon.

Leave a note saying you need a break and that if you come home to a tidy clean kitchen with washing up done and have some help then you will make a meal - if not you will go out again!

You sound close to breaking point so please give yourself a break.
Excellent advice, I really hope you did SDG.

Fuddle, whiskers are a fact of life with ageing I'm led to believe. Plucking is one option, but given how painful it is on the moustache region I'm considering a handlebar moustache instead :rotfl:

I just ballsed up yet another yoghurt making effort. After 14 hours a thin lifeless yoghurt that didn't want to strain to make it thicker. I've tried every darned variable aside from a yoghurt maker now and boy I'm getting tempted.

I'm afraid I am an advocate of waxing for those awkward to pluck places!!! It is painful but over and done with quickly.

I have one stray, coarse hair on my chin - had it for years. One day nothing the next a quarter of an inch of hair - bizarre. A quick tweeze and it's off.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
