P26 to 29 blinking heck - that is all.

On to other things, Doglet barked himself hoarse at the UNREASONABLE and frankly should be blinking ILLEGAL fireworks being let off by all an sundry. He gets SO wound up by it and unless I have the TV on a music channel up full blast you can guarantee some little so and so will set on off on the millisecond of silence on a program so I can't hear the rest of the next 10 minutes due to bark (well husky croak towards then end). Plus he is SOOOOOO wound up he is shaking with frustration and I reckon he loses about 500g of weight each night in water loss alone!
Also the "not quite for the public" display at the local tennis club (no notice and only if you are a member darling) would not have been out of place in a counter insurgent movement on a film set the noise and duration of the torture.
I know this has been posted elsewhere on MSE but in case you haven't see it please consider adding your support to this petition to ban public sale of fireworks.

Also I had thought that there was a law about not making a blinking nuisance of yourself after a certain time of night, and for some reason I have 11pm in the single cell - certainly after 10pm I DO NOT want to be hearing anything people related (ishews of crimes aside) as I want to be getting to / actually ASLEEP.

Sorry, rant over - erm one thought for the elderly Pug owner (sorry single cell doesn't do names very well) - have you considered incontinence pads on the bed overnight? Relatively cheap (well compared to washing bedding ever day) and easy to get hold of. If they can't cope it may provide a bit of respite from the car and of course as designed to cope with associated smells too to a certain extent
Happy Tuesday everyone, we made it through Monday

What's a single cell? I'm thinking of a very wee police station but surely you're not inside misslr? :)

Byatt, I've signed up to pinterest, too, and follow a couple of the nice people on here. :D Hardly anything on mine yet, but PM me if you want to add me/be added, same goes for FBK.

It's miserable here, but milder than yesterday, suits me fine as I'm shattered after DD getting into our bed about 4 am, finally went back to hers at 5, but I didn't get back to sleep cos DH was snoring by then - so am on a rather short fuse today!

Have found out this week that eldest DS and his DF are probably going to make themselves bankrupt - mostly their own fault I have to say, but have to bite my tongue (again - rather sore at the moment!) and just support them. Cue more sleepless nights while they get to grips with it, hope they'll listen to us about doing it properly and not leaving any loopholes! :(

Sorry to spoil the day - will be cheerier next post! :)

    A xo

OhI found a linky to the law on noise - http://www.environmental-protection.org.uk/noise/neighbourhood-noise/nuisance/

Am so tempted to blanket flyer all houses in a half mile radius to say if there is ANY noise after 11pm especially fireworks I will complain and report to the courts ... suspect that may a tad OTT though don't you?

Sorry, sorry, sorry, missed the important bit re job - WELL DONE
Re bankruptcy - oops, really hope you can help them sort it and it doesn't cause you too much trauma. If it is a business any chance of going dormant and sort the creditors out by separate agreements if they can get another job? Might be better than a BR - expert advice clearly needed on that one and NOT from me - I am not an expert on such matters

How very sad (but not unexpected) that this thread has yet again turned nasty, I thought this was a supporting each other thread :(
