I'd love a cat but I have decided that this home isn't a suitable environment; concrete jungle surrounded by fast roads, big dogs off-lead and losts of "missing cat" posters on the lamposts.
It is worth talking to some of the rescue centres to find out if your flat really isn't suitable. Often a small, indoor-only environment is perfect for a 'special needs' cat. Often their special need is only that they can't go outside and need someone to love themWe had a deaf-blind cat living with us for his final years and once he figured out where the furniture all was he was fine (well, he boffed himself on the head occasionally) :rotfl: and he liked nothing better than to snuggle up on the sofa with us and purr to us how much he liked living here :A

CRAIGY - Docky is my lurcher!!! He's nearly 9 and black with a sprinkling of white bits,3 feet with white toes and a white 'Netball Band' across his front. He is 20" at the shoulder of pure fun and mischief, and just about as much fun as you can have with a dog and still stay legal!!! He also is pertified of loud bangs and whizzes - sorry if he's been hogging (well lurchering!) the posts!!!
Jem - I'll say thank you for helping push the car, some folks don't have a concept of manners, it was a lovely neighbourly thing to do, so THANK YOU! Have you thought of a Survival Weekend Course for OH?many companies on line offer a weekend of bushcraft which would be a very useful OS way to learn useful skills.
SMILEY - So glad that TESS is OK, what a scare, it takes your breath right away doesn't it? Hope BRUNO is well and happy too. Docky sends huggles and huge quantities of E.Bikkits and great biggg SSSLLLUUUUURRPPPPPPPSSSSSSSes!!! to all three of you, Cheers Lyn and Docky xxxxx.0 -

Thankyou that's fab idea for him for work loads of pockets for all his crap I did buy him a nice bag but he says I am having no man bag lol so that's brilliant would the pockets be big enough for his ipad do you think?
If you have an army surplus shop in your area, look at tactical vests. (Or just ask the staff for advice)
IPOD is roughly 10 by 71/2 inches which would be a big pocket. The one I use as an every day carry has a pocket in the small of the back which would be big enough but wouldn't be comfortable driving/sitting with an Ipod in it. However some of the tac vests do offer larger front pockets.

Congratulations on the new job, Mr Thriftyniftyme!
OH also awaiting the start of his new job next week, but he's currently trying to sort tax out re. the closure of our business. Tax might not have to be taxing but judging by the muttered curses it appears to be at the moment.0
