Saw the Change4Life advert on the tv and went to register and you can only register if you live in England. Not fair it looks good.

Gosh! Turn your back for an hour or two and you all write War and Paracetemol that has to be ploughed through.

Welcome OMO and Middy. It's good on here if you can speed read.

Stitwalker: What a relief that your DD has got proper recognition for her real character. Can I suggest shin pads, or re-inforced jeans?

Katie: It seems that everyone is going to miss you and DD except Idiot Manager, and she will miss you when her incompetence lands everything in a mess. Tooo late!

Kidcat: phew! after those panto visits you need a bit of R and R. Don't suppose there's much chance of you getting some.

GQ: what IS the use of the waving cards. The ATMs are full of warnings to be very careful with your cards. So, HUH?

Unix: Oh silly man. Why on earth didn't he say something? All that angst and if you'd known what the matter was you could have coped so much better. Men!

Been dark and wet all day today. Played with baby GD this morning and pottered about since then. The house is a tip so no forums next week - work has to be done.

    Bless you all

You summed it up, he was being silly. But he did upset me.

Own my own, it sounds as if you've done wonderfull well, and you will do again, but, as others have said, it sounds as if you are having anxiety 'attacks'. Please see a GP asap, because it could so easily develop into something else.

I'll say something that may put others' backs up, but I'll be honest, as I think it's relevant to you. My husband and I have no money worries - he has a fairly good private pension, and we were left a fair amount when MiL died. We're not rich, but we have more than enough, enough to help out our 2 adult daughters should they need it. BUT, I still sometimes get short-lived panic attacks, usually when I first wake up in the mornings. Why? I guess it's because we went through a dreadfully stressful time with one daughter about 10 years ago which I coped with well at the time, but I hit a wall later. I ended up being treated for depression for a year, then picked myself up. Even so, I believe that the panic is a sort of learned behaviour and, when I feel under some sort of pressure (I am retired but a busy retiree), back come the panics. I've learned to deal with it, and you need some help to deal with yours, because I think you're sensitive to the current feeling of pessimism that's around atm, and it's brought back feelings you maybe buried years ago. I hope you get some help soon. X

fuddle, re driving in frost etc. OH always says try and start off in gear number 2 to avoid wheel spin. Easier said than done i can asure you. I too hate driving in any weather other than sunshine or cloudy.

Well we have been told if our daughter can get any distinctions in her level 3. we can get bursaries of £1000 from the uni towards to fees. Not sure exactly how it works, and if it is for the local uni. It sounds good if she can achieve it.

Just having a very boring evening so far. OH is finally awake and now soaking in the bath.

Hello KATE well done your DD for telling it like it is to the dippy manager, does she know you have resigned as well? I would like to be there to see her face when she realises just how lonely it is on your own in a canoe without a paddle!!! How lovely of the trustee to buy the moses basket, that is real kindness, what a nice man.

No she doesn't... I did tell one of the upstairs staff on Thursday that if she stays I'm going, and there was much hand-wringing. I'm going to walk in after the market on Tuesday with my uniform and resignation in writing. I'm maintaing radio silence until then :p
My parting shot may be "Enjoy fish week" :rotfl: but knowing her she'll probably just decide she can serve tuna sandwiches.

    Kate
