Kezlou - sorry you're suffering so much at the moment. I second the idea of the pain clinic. It wasn't until mum got referred there (after many painful years) that they finally got her on pain meds that work for her back.

Softstuff: keep at it - 7ww is watching you, and will know if you skip a jogging session;)

I did the second bit yesterday and am scheduled to do another tomorrow :A

I was amazed how much better I managed the second session than the first. And after much increased stretching afterwards, I ached the same evening, but have been fine today. This may in fact not kill me :rotfl:

Oh we both sobbed at that Pops! It was the beginning that did it for us because the chap and his wife were just like OH and I, then he lost her.

I'd better go and finish making my gyoza for tea or we'll be eating at midnight. Love to all!

Morning All, no window cleaner here. There used to be but he had a DD same age as SD and listened to all her lies. Silly man. I still see him from time to time in the village and he cant look me in the face. It took a while but all of SD's lies came out and the people that bought into her little fabrications were caught out. So once the better weather is here I'll be doing the windows myself.

SS is in a mood. He's been asked, no make that told repeatedly not to eat in his room as plates/bowls etc just get left up there with food debris on them. Yuck :(. Last night he goes to work and his room's a tip (again) and plates on the floor. So said to him again about it this morning. He then decides to take the downstairs tv remote upstairs with him! Not funny. He's nearly 22! He has a tv in his room and he knew I'd be back around 7:30 from dropping his Dad off. I think he's in the huff as he normally takes his Dad to work in the morning. He's the only one in the household with a full time perm job yet takes £15 a week off his Dad for petrol. SS drives a 1.2L car and I drive a 1.4L and me taking his Dad in doesn't cost me that! We've said to him before but he knows best. His final payment on his car is due this month (balloon payment) and he's saved up nothing. I've decided (and tell me if you think this is harsh) that I'm not allowing him to go for more finance. He's had his car a little over a year and every time he needs to spend money the finance has been the excuse (after paying digs and his car he has £700 a month to play with and he says he needs 'treat' money). His friends all have bigger cars (well their parents do and his friends borrow the cars but oh no he knows better), so he wants to trade in his car and take out more finance to get an older but bigger car. So since all his attitude, lack of respect (he's still not paid SIL for the bed he ruined at hers and finds the whole thing funny!) and his whole general demeanour he can go whistle. If he takes out more finance he's gone. I've had enough.

We've not told SS I'm out of work. Why? He's very nosey and passes a lot of info back to his sister. She tried before to tell tales about me to an employer a few years ago. Thankfully it backfired on her. So we tend to keep certain details away from him. Also we've stopped telling him when we'll be out etc as he was having folk in the house uninvited that were rooting through the house and yet he thought this was normal!!!!! OH has told SS I'm working from home next week. He's (SS) not happy as he's taken next week off to save petrol money since he's not saved a penny to his balloon payment. We honestly think he's on shaky ground at his work too. His attitude we've seen with us, SIL, his cousins (one told him if he spoke to them or us again like that he was getting punched) so he must be doing it at his work. He's been lucky, we got him the job. 16K and a pension and he doesn't have any qualifications! He doesn't appreciate how lucky he is. He thinks he's on awful money. We've tried to tell him if he loses that job he might be lucky to get something of half that wage elsewhere but no again he knows better.

Off to the CS this morning, pay some money into the bank and change my canadian dollars I found. But need to go wrap Mum's birthday present first. Not cleared my clothes yet thats going to have to wait for another day unfortunately.

Good morning everyone, lots have been happening again since i last posted. Had a busy day again at work, and when it went quiet we watched DIY sos, was rather humbling to see the lady take on her friends 5 kids after both there parents had died. She is a single mum to 3 boys already!! Was a little bit humbling.

I am having my haircut finally today, ive opted for the dry cut as its under £10. Then need to find a birthday present for my nephew who will be 6.

tomorrow is my last day at work for 10 days, and we are going away for a couple of days to newcastle - no idea whats there to do but we will wing it and see. We have booked into the premier inn, only as they have rooms for 25 pounds per night.

Im all home alone at the moment, OH is at work and DD stayed over at her boyfriends. Its nice sometimes, but i do miss when the girls were younger and there constant chatter. If i go to my brothers, were he has 3 littleones aged 2, 6, and 8. It seems like total caos in there house everyday.

Right must get my self motivated, shower n go i think.

    Take care everyone. x

:)unixgirluk, you must be a saint in human form if this young man is still breathing; I'd've been sorely-tempted to wring his neck long ago, never mind invite him to go set up housekeeping elsewhere.

Sheesh, I can remember when I had to return to the nest as an adult on the dole. which was a princely £27 a week, and I gave Mum £20, felt bad it wasn't more and did lots of the chores.

Well, something straaange happened to me last night - I reconnected all of a sudden with my Inner Tigger. I should explain that I've had ME for over 25 years, plus some other problems, and I'm typically fairly slow-moving and laconic, not miserable but certainly not bouncy.

Last night, all of a sudden, my Tiggerish side resurfaced and I was bouncing around to the best of ABBA, singing and having a great time. Can only attribute it to 2 days free of sugar !

Gawd help people who know me in the real world as I can be quite wearing in my natural state, bouncing all over the place.

Riiiiiiiiggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhht!! Gonna plan world domination. Just as soon as I've finished this cuppa.

GreyQueen, a tigger state is a good thing! :D

SS, yes I'd happily wring his neck but he's not worth the jail time! (I don't mean that its just he's soooo unappreciative and unhelpful!).

Right better move my butt, I have my Mum's present to wrap, my hair to straighten (I look like Crystal Tips the cartoon character!!!!) and sort out what I can get done today.

Nutty P they say it is a great place and near to places like Durham and the like but not good for me, the wrong side of the county. Perhaps if you can afford it there may be something on at one of the venues in the city or The Sage in nearby Gateshead. I'd love to go there.

Nuttyp:- Newcastle, Walk down to the quayside, lovely walks along quay, over the Millenium Eye, look around the Sage building and the Baltic Art Gallery. All free as is the Laing Art Gallery and the Discovery Museum. Eating places are a bit pricey down there but there is a Weath*er sp**ns under the Swing Bridge which is reasonable and lovely views if you sit outside.
Not sure about the Centre for Life, have not been.
Newcastle Keep is not free and a bit on the small side TBH.
Take a Metro to Tynemouth and have a look at the Priory and the beaches, some nice little shops there. Walk along to Whitley Bay via Cullercoats and have a look at St May's Lighthouse.
Hope you have good weather, there's lots more to Newcastle than it's better known image of drinking and pubs.:rotfl:

  • Morning Toughies, it's grey and dull here today but the good news is NO RAIN!!!!! so it's OK by me.

Have to pop back into town this morning, I went in yesterday to do a top up shop and went into A*di for the offer veg and a few other things. Got to the check out and paid with a £20 note and was given change for £10!!!!! I queried it with the cashier who said there was no £20 note in the till. So I stood my ground as I knew what I'd paid with and she said leave your details with me and if there is £10 over when I cash up this afternoon I will ring you. It was with a certain amount of scepticism that I did this. While I was walking the boy in the afternoon He who knows got a phone call to say yes, she was £10 over in the till and would I like to go in to collect from the office today. Relief felt by me, followed by the thought that if I didn't have a bus pass it would cost half that amount to go and collect what was the result of their mistake. Well done A*di for being honest but I am lucky to be incurring no loss to put it right!! I do wish people would be a little more careful doing the job they are PAID to do!!!

Hope everyone is well and warm today, glad to hear that GQ is feeling tiggerish and better, Cheers Lyn xxx.

    Good news Lynn,
I wish I was on the right side of this county I'd love to do some of that Meme30.

If I ever get chance to afford a holiday perhaps I'll stay in Newcastle and see some local places...and use the local transport.

    Lovely ideas...
