Absolutely fantastic brilliant news!!!!!
Thats the best news you could ever want, all that blood and sweat has paid off. You should be really proud of yourself:D:T.
Just think January starts and he'll finally get the help and support he needs. Fantastic!0 -
I've got some good news too....
In March DD will become my boss in the Cafe ()
It's a 'proper' job for her, 37 hours a week, more money per hour, contract and everything, no more hours being cut to save money. The existing boss is in over her depth and she knows it (she's not a cook/foodie at all apart from other stuff) and she's decided to step down and spend more time with her family :T DD is totally up for the challenge, and I have every confidence she will succeed!
Good day for me in the market today, surprised how much I actually took when I totted up, I was expecting it to be loads less because it was so quiet.

Fab news Kate!
Evening all,
Well its a bit of a weird couple of days, but between me and OH we've managed to get all the boys things in for chrimbo. The boys should be really happy with what we have got them.Got some really good deals but still spent way more than wanted too.
One thing we reall struggled with was deciding whether to buy DS a tablet, he asked for an ipad but they just far to expensive. For the past year he's been asking for a computer, then a laptop then an ipad of his own so he play games and do his schoolwork. Last month we decided to get him one as he really enjoys going on sites like Education City. Another big reason is that he has problems putting his thoughts on paper and puts to much pressure on his joints when he's writing. We've (and the school) have noticed that when he's using a laptop / pc his hands and wrist don't ache as much.
So looked on ebay and for £170 we got an android tablet, 17 inch screen, along with a case, pen, usb charger, plug and keyboard, along with a years warranty. Its arrived and looks quite flash. Its pricey, but educational. Along with the tablet we spent another £20 on some lego ,wii game and stocking fillers. Just hoping we've made the right decision as we wouldn't buy ds1 anything like that till he was 11yrs, but then he able to read, write and spell competently by himself by that age.
Today went to see GP as yesterday got messed about by the patient referral service. I phoned the patient service to arrange an appointment to get checked out for my arthritis, and the woman was so snotty with me. Basically the service hadn't contacted me to tell that the i had been re-referred to the local hospital from an outsourced service dealing with chronic pain. This meant that if didn't contact them within a few days my referral would be cancelled. I was fuming, at first i was being nice, but sadly lost my temper when she said oh well we tried to call but you must have been out last week. I asked the date they supposedly phoned me and i said excuse me but i have been bedridden for the three weeks and haven't been able to walk. The day you supposedly called i was in my house waiting for a phone call from my GP for a consultation. The woman was awful and wouldn't even tell me which department at the hospital i was being referred to.
So went to see the GP today, told her what had happened and she found out i'm being referred back to orthopedics but not sure which part as it wasn't on the system. The GP was lovely and couldn't stop apologising, my OH kept asking her about my lack of mobility and she said i really don't know. So she suggested just carry on taking painkillers and waiting to see what the hospital says. I'm still on the low dosage of anti-depressants as she said it make take 6 weeks to fully be in my system. I told her that they hadn't made a difference to my mood, anxiety etc so we'll just see what happens.
Myself and OH sat together today watching tv today, i wasn't feeling well so we snuggled under a thick cover for an hour. My dad unexpectedly turned up which was nice so we sat with a cuppa and biscuits laughing together. Droped my dad in town and OH said come on lets have a wander round the shops so we did. Think OH is trying to enjoy some time with me. It was packed in town, could barely move.
He admitted to the GP, after i said i was terrified of my lack of mobility and how my health has rapidly deteriorated in the past four weeks. He said the same thing and was on the brink of tears, all the pressure is getting to him. Doesn't help when his family won't be around as they all going down south so he can't see them. He's not massively close with them but we normally visit them over christmas. I've said he can go but he won't leave me, and gets really annoyed when i suggest it. Luckily my family are here and they always welcome him no matter what.
So now just need my nieces and dads presents in and find the screws for the table so we can finally eat in the kitchen.
The trees twinkling with lights and the boys have been loving playing around it and mucking around with the cats and baubles. Makes all difference having a laugh and watching gleeful smiles0 -
Well done Miss Katieowl! Great news.
And glad you're settling in Fuddle - I think it's inevitably a bit of a high spend at first but it will settle down. Is your tree up?0 -

Hi everyone, some really happy news on here today and also some not so good.
Today i wrapped all the christmas gifts and wrote the remainding cards. Tomorrow i am going fro lunch with my eldest DD and her friend who has an 18month old girl. I get to pretend to be nanny!!!
I am awaiting insurance decision if i should proceed through them, if we will lose the noclaims discount then we might not be able to afford to claim. Its so annoying.BSC member 137

Nah it'll be fine, we are singing off the same song sheet, which we wrote, and have been since the beginning there. It's everyone else who doesn't know the right tune...
