I wrote that when tired. I should have explained it better that I have enough to cover the bills at the start of jan and the majority at the start of feb without counting on any other money. If I inlcude money from OH and SS's dig money and any money I make from tarot I'll be able to cover feb's bills.

Unix that still sounds really difficult as is putting huge pressure on you, it may well be worth talking to CCCS, its entirely possible they could get your payments down slightly just until you are working - it may take the stress out of your relationship too. :)

Am so nervous, I get the results of the hours of paperwork I have been doing for DS14 diagnosis this afternoon, and I literally feel sick with worry, without the diagnosis we have been told he will definitely get no help if he goes back to school. And it all rests on whether I gave the right answers, its taken 8 hours over three weeks to do and it was really hard stuff like when he was six months old did he make eye contact when he was in the bath? I mean who can really remember these things?

If I have messed it up we will need to enter into a massive fight to go any further or get anywhere.:eek:

MRSLW thank you reading your post just before I walked in kept me going :)

And I can officially share our results, today we have been told that DS14 is autistic and that we will receive an official paper in January.:j I cried again, but I think this time it was in a good way it means that the first big battle is won, I realise there will be many more with the education system but this is a huge step and means we are moving forward.

I cannot describe the relief I feel, and the expression on DS face when I told him was amazing, he wants the "piece of paper" as he calls it, to be framed on his wall.

We also got some unexpected news too, the neuro guy has decided that he will do some testing on DS memory which is appalling and try to improve it with him - not something he usually does apparently. DS is really pleased with this too- he finds it difficult to cope and gets very down about his memory. :)

Oh kidcat, I am so pleased it all worked out right and they listened to you - no one knows their children like a mum does so you got it all set down right. And help from the neuro dept too. You need to sit down now and rest for a few minutes and take it all in. :T:T:T:T

Stiltwalker hope the changes in the new year give you both time to enjoy life a little more with you kiddies, they sound so cute. Everytime we sing twinkle twinkle now I will think of you. :D

    Hello peeps.

Meme I am relieved for you that your friend's little girl has a form of leukemia that will respond to treatment. And kidcat I am very glad for you that you will have fewer battles to fight than you thought. I'm not glad your son is autistic but as he is, then being recognised as such means he will get help. I really don't know how you carry on, I would have crumbled a long time ago if I had to carry the weight that you carry.

Well, I have good news. I have been missing in action because I was concentrating on filling in an application form and preparing for an interview and ... I got the job! I will be helping visitors in a local art gallery, learning about the exhibitions and artists, and stopping people from poking holes in the exhibits. It's only part-time and I will still have to do some notetaking to make ends meet, but it is permanent (barring possible redundancies, of course) and it means that I won't have to sign on over the summer like I have done for the last four years. So I will be able to swan around at parties saying, "I work in the Arts, daahling." :rotfl: I'm very pleased. I even more pleased because the trapped nerve that I've had in my back for the last ten days finally seems to be untrapping itself. It's still sore but at least I can sneeze without groaning in agony! It's been one of the most painful things I've ever had. Such a wuss I am.

I just realised today that Christmas is next week! In my head there is still at least three weeks to go .... so tonight will be spent wrapping presents and checking that I've not missed anyone out!

Right, I'd better take my doglets out for a walk whilst it's still light. Love to you all xxx.

PS I got a Christmas card 'from the dogs'. My sister sent it but said that the dogs told her and she helped them write it ..... :rotfl:

Will watch on the internet later...thanks. I have been watching an old series via ITV Player and You Tube the comedy Man About The House. I found a couple of episodes at first and just kept watching them. It's frightening to think I saw them when they were first on TV and now they are almost 40 years old:(:eek:Some of the references would not be allowed these days but it is still quite gentle humour.
