I have dental phobia , so am given gas and air for anything other than a simple check up. It is great! I am awake but couldn't care less about anything going on around me if that helps at all.

It helps a lot! I had a knee replacement under gas and air so I'm aware about the not caring less but unsure how it will affect a 7 yr old.

Sheila love the doggie pics. Borders are my favourite, we had a border crossed with pomeranian and he was the sweetest little man, he was my constant companian for 16 years and totally besotted with me.

Just got myself some flowers to brighten up my day - ys of course, lilies and deep red chrysanths for £1 total. Am going to try and finish one of the blankies I am crochetting for a dear friend for Chrimbo then its egg and bacon for tea, nice and simple.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I too have a dental phobia and in june had to have 2 wisdom teeth out. I was given introvenus sedation, and i dont remember a thing apart from wakeing up over an hour later in a completely different room and an oxygen tube up my nose.

The hospital staff were amazing and very kind, even tho i was in tears before we even entered the ward, not good when there are quite a few more people waiting with me.

Am so stunned that people have been able to get gas and air to help them cope - I am incredibly phobic and our old dentist told me to suck it up!!

Have bought our Christmas trees but am thinking now that before I put them up I would like to re-organise the furniture in the living room, OH always moans if I do it when he at work but on the other hand he moans if I do it while he is here, so its a lose lose stituation. Just trying to weigh up which he will moan about least :)

Ended up buying trees at Ikea this year as they were alot cheaper than elsewhere and are giving £20 gift vouchers out with them to be spent in January. As I need a chest of drawers in January anyway it made sense.

Did pop into L!dl too and pick up a sleigh to go with our existing reindeer which I can see being popular with the kids :)

my dentist (I've had all my life) has just retired so I've got his junior. Now he's my age (30s) and been training with my dentist since he qualified. But I just cannot take him seriously he looks like the milky bar kid and about as old! I've got a phobia about dentists since getting my wisdom teeth taken out in hospital they dislocated my jaw! My old dentist knew how to calm me down, this one I just can't take seriously.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Sunshine - forgot to say before - sorry to hear your news. How are you feeling?

Have 3 hungry boys waiting for pizza so off to do that now. Actually quiet... well shrieks from the computer game they are playing together but when DS2's friends come over - and actually some of DS1's come to think of it they charge about and are incredibly noisy. Nice change to sit and have a cuppa in the kitchen and leave them to it. I don't like the amount of time they want to be doing something with a screen (I ration them ;)) but it is so much easier than clearing up 100 toys and dealing with tears and arguements when inevitably someone gets hurt with the charging/chasing kind of games.

Looking forward to a quiet eve. I know I'm middle-aged just typing those words. many moons ago a friday eve staying in would have been the pits :D

    hope everyone's ok....
    sq:)
