Meme30 - Enjoy your lunch, I'll be doing something similar next week

    Zoec- hugs for you

I too am struggling to find many positives to 2012, infact only one really - my DDs graduation. Everything else seems like too many people passing before their time and too much illness.

Hopefully next year will be better. It certainly can't be any worse.

Jazee ((hugs)) I have always tried to bear in mind the idea that I would not truly fully appreciate the good stuff (peaks) unless I had also experienced the bad (troughs). Its so hard sometimes but I something I try to see as a diagram in my head.

I also attempt to look at these things as training, hard lessons learned now may in fact help me if things get even harder and I know that from personal experience for me that rings true, I had an awful time in my volunteer work a few years ago - and have only just begun to volunteer again, I realised yesterday that things that were now happening were very similar yet this time I am handling them better both practically and emotionally too.

((hugs)) to all today, stay safe and warm :)

Sending love & light to all who are walking a tunnel just now. Looking out to a gorgeous neon pink sky with the sun just appearing over the hill, and thinking that no matter what happens to us, this beautiful magical world keeps on turning. Time passes, seasons turn, life goes on. And f we can just find the courage to get up every morning and look at the sky then we're surviving.

Mornig everyone, its back to work today and its a full 11 hours. Tomorrow it looks like we are going to the christmas market at lincoln. It was on the tv and i think we deserve some festive cheering up. Its this time of year i seem to miss dad more, and of course its our first year without our little man 'mr ben'. hope he is safe in doggy heven, as he deserves a special warm place there.

My car passed the mot, no extras thank god!!! It is always a worru isnt it. I only taxed it for 6 months, so next summer funds permitting we will be doing it for a year. I could of sort of squeezedthe full years money together, but again next winter it will all come at once.

Outside looks rather cold, wonder if we will get snow?brrrrr

I feel I have to post about my lovely day, since recently all I've mentioned is the crap that's been happening.

It was hubbys works Christmas Lunch. We went to a lovely restaurant that I'd been curious about and had mentioned to the his boss and had yum cha which was very nice. We got a nice gift from them (yummy jams and sweets, I do love consumables as gifts), had a walk after in glorious sun and a cup of tea somewhere else I'd had my eye on. On the way home we dropped into my Grandmother in laws and she'd collected some old linen doileys for me. And we came home and the rest is censored :o.

It's days like this that make the ones where you struggle to get through just by putting one foot in front of the other worthwhile.

  • Morning all and welcome to Zoec, hang on in there, a new year and a fresh page is just around the corner.

Physio went well on Thursday, he used extra needles for than acupuncture and has advised me not to sit or stand for longer than 30min at a time. I have been following his advice and it really seems to be helping.

Went to visit MIL last night and came away with a lovely boxed carving knife and fork and a beautiful boxed set of fruit spoons with a matching serving spoon. The box they were in still had the horseshoes, cherubs and gift card that were with it from their wedding day. OH is going to clean them up and I will use them on Christmas day when she is here for lunch.

Mince pie day today. OH thinks that there is just enough room in the freezer to squeeze a tub of HM ones in. Have sat for 30 min catching up so time to move.

Have a good day Mrs VP
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

Morning toughies, that trip sounds magical Kidcat! Hope you have a fantastic time.

Zoec, here's to things really looking up for you soon. What a terrible year you've had - keep your chin up, and I'll be wishing you happiness.

The same goes for everyone, of course, especially those with a lot to bear at the moment. I'm always praying (in my weird agnostic way!) for peace and happiness for all.

I'm struggling a bit myself at the moment. I have been cutting back on gas and electricity as much as I could, but still this month's bill will still be £100 (for total energy costs).

And we're threatened with snow next week  (well I will be secretly :j as I'm a big kid with snow :D) The CH is going back on regularly now, while we're getting regular overnight freezing. Sometimes it seems no matter how hard I cut back I can never really save anything, it's like running as fast as you can just to stay where you are.

OK, enough of that whining! I'm getting into the Christmas spirit soon - I'm making little hampers for family and friends, just very small ones with a few home made biscuits, mince pies and bits and bobs in.

There's also hours and hours of cheesy Christmas films on Ch 5 again today, and I'm such a sucker for them :o:D

Hope everyone is well, and wishing good things for you all.
