Popperwell - keep your chin up, you will be fine. You are doing great with the tidying. Remember the good times, the good memories - actively remember, it will help.

D&DD that is priceless, bless your son I have nearly split my tea giggling over that one!

Kezlou - how utterly nasty of those evil little toe rags. They need firm words do their parents have any idea they are behaving like this? I really hope not and when they realise they take action.

I have knocked 25 out of 27 tasks on the head today as well as a gym session. I still have document filing and scanning .... It's been on the list for a while I really need to do this. But 1.5 hours of ironing is enough to make anyone take a break!

Now for chocolate I think yippee!

    Thanks SQ and Missrlr,
I'm picking up again, I think the rubbish clearing was getting on top of me. You know what it's like when bags split and floors are covered. If I see that sorted I'll feel better...it comes and goes in waves. It has been a good week and I have slept well too. Though I had a weird dream the other night, not a nightmare, just strange.

I'm eating better and a little more than usual. Think I'll prepare a meal for the slow cooker. For now I will do a bap with some roast pork and stuffing in it.:)

Tomorrow is another day and a new year ahead which I hope will be better than feared even with the announcements in the budget.

So you saw a pantomime SQ.:DI'm so happy that your son enjoyed it, I can quite understand you watching his sense of wonder.

I hope that you are able to shake off the sniffles.

Missrlr I think that is a very good idea about having the chocolate. 25 tasks! Wow...ironing is the one skill I haven't mastered. Even though I have a lovely new iron, perhaps one day I will. After all I have managed to sew a little, And I can cook and do a little DIY(wallpapering, painting and plastering)

pops - try to tackle one area at a time, its easy to get disheartened if you have several rooms on the go and all look messy. But if you get one place done it can spur you on to the next bit :)

I think I can clear the outhouse and kitchen by tomorrow night, What remains on the landing I think I'll bag it up and move it and go through it slowly but the rooms are tidy and empty. I hate working against the clock knowing someone is to call. It is a bit like an inspection...so things have to be reasonably in order I guess.

    Thank you Kidcat...

Pops - I am the opposite, I prefer a deadline :) they are there to make sure you havent ripped out doors, walls etc - they dont expect you to have it all empty pops :)

Think how much easier it will be to clean when it's done Pops :-) just make sure you don't let it build up again. Maybe join the declutter or flylady threads to help you keep it nice and clean and tidy.

    You're right Greenbee...:)

Whether I stay here or have to move it will be less work. I was doing it slowly at my own speed but this hurried me a long. It will be safer too.

It's nice to see it all go.

Where does the time go? Thirty Two years ago today John Lennon was shot:(

I think I heard it on Breakfast TV as I was getting ready to go out to work and my Father had come in from working nights and was preparing breakfast for both of us. Mum would've got up slightly later.

    So long ago...

  • Have made some mince pies with shop bought mince meat but also tried a little of my HM mince meat. OH did a blind taste test and picked the shop bought one :o.

Made a type of risotto for tea out of lentils and quinoa HM chicken stock and come leftover pumpkin soup (think the soup was Kittie's idea), chucked some onions, mushrooms and chopped stalks off the cauli/broc. Tasted great but not sure if I could recreate it but it used up a lot of left over bits and bobs.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

I'm about to get it together and make a meal up in the slow cooker.

    Mrs VP,
I'm sure that your mince meat is very nice. Of course I di cheat being on my own and bought some mince pies(Mr Kiplings)two for one. I also bought some Sollen and a Yule Tide log too. I am determined to try and have a good time.

May start playing my Christmas music next week otherwise it will be over for another year. After all I have approx 1,156 tracks with a Christmas theme.
