This link may give ideas regarding other fillings that can be used in wheat bags...rice and pearl barley is mentioned.

Jem, I hope you and Bella feel better soon...it is awful when you are out of it.

    craigyvw thank you :)

its actually a fairly quiet day today, have the school runs including a chat with school to discuss DS8 being beaten by two kids yesterday that they failed to mention, and then I have a breakfast meeting:j:j

After that I need to take DD18 shopping for something to wear to her interview at Uni tomorrow, she has been shopping a few times recently and bought nothing suitable, so am not pleased to be doing this.
Then its take DS14 for his therapy group and home!:j

Its absolutely pouring here again today which is the third or fourth day in a row.

This is from today's Sky News -

"Last week, the futures market for feeding wheat reached £227 a metric ton, a rise of 45% since January.
Feed wheat is the benchmark price used for wheat produced for human consumption.
Meanwhile, feeding barley, some of which is used in beer and liquor production, has increased 25% - to £190 - in the same period"

Oh my gosh did i read that right kidcat? your son was beaten at school and they didnt tell you????? That is outrageous and they must be breaking all sorts of rules/regs etc! I hope he is ok?
I have been trying to gut my living room over the last few days as it had gotten very cluttered and i felt i couldnt relax in it. It is now looking a lot better but needs to be finished properly. It wont be done today though as i have to put my books out today, then precook tonights dinner as i have rainbows tonight followed by babysitting for a cousin. I am really not looking forward to it as her children run riot and they have constant cartoons on all day and all evening. I shall be bored silly. Oh well.....its only one evening and im sure my kids were just as bad when she used to babysit them for me(only i never allowed all day and night cartoons and she would watch the soaps which i cant stand)

Has anyone seen Byatt about ? I swear I havent seen her post for a few days - unless I have missed her, just a little worried as she was in a flood area I seem to think.
:) I'm sure she said on the Hoarders thread that she was taking a time-out from MSE. But I may be a bit confused because I follow 3 threads on this site (this, SHTF and Hoarders).

:D Oh dear, nearly spat tea over my keyboard, I read that as you were ironing your knicks whilst you were wearing them!

Pops, very pleased that you haven't lost your vouchers and that you found some M&S ones. It's always gutting to think you've lost out and such a relief at the reprieve.

I had a heckuva lie-in by my standards, to nearly 8 am, this. My office had been festooned with our ancient collection of tinsel and seasonal misc, which I quite like, because they come out every year and brighten the place up. It does mean that there will be some comedic accidents in the next few weeks, tho.

Ouch to whover it was cut themselves whilst cutting a lemon .....owowowoowwww. Lemon juice in a cut, I've done that and it hurts a lot.

I'm a menace with hot things and sharp things when I'm particularly bad with the ME, but then I have been known to walk into the door jambs here at home because I've lost spacial awareness and forget how wide my shoulders are (not very, wide at all). Some days are so full of bumps and bangs I wish I didn't have to leave the flat as I feel a menace.

Right, some more tea, little bit of internet browsing then ready for work. Hope everyone has a good day, GQ xx

Oh I'm glad to hear she has an interview - I thought about her when I knew the offers were coming out as I know she had got worried. Good luck to her. My friend's DD is having a right game with UCAS as she has changed her mind about which courses to apply for - UCAS do not cater for a change of heart.

DD is off school ill - trouble is, I am never sure how ill she really is, as she is a damn good actress. She left school early yesterday due to it - I am a bit cross with her as I think at 16 she should be mostly getting on with it.

Thinking of doing a "pamper hamper" for two of my nieces - aged 13 and 11. The 13 year old is relatively easy - but is it feasible for a 11 year old do you think? I have still bought sweet fanny adams for christmas. I really must begin to do something.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
