Give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”

Oh of only there was a cure for it . The hot flushes are a pain ( minor to what some are going thru tho) . I don't want to drag up what's been said in the past . My only comment is that sometimes things can be taken the wrong way when it's written down rather than spoken . I feel we should all be treated fairly regardless and that the only seniority should come from the owner of a tread to enable moderation .
I love hearing of how people are having successes and good times and hope I'm there when there are difficult times . Hopefully there will be more of the latter.
Today I had plans to finish cleaning my kitchen but instead I e made a Dahl and loaf of bread . Going to get uniform ready for work now so may pop back at silly oclock when I'm on break

I was coping badly and finally broke down the other week in the Gps office, when I cam out an old friend was in the waiting room who happens to be a SW. She had the appointment after mine and must have siad something to the Gp because ever since she has been very helpful instead of just leaving me to get on with it. Sometimes you have to show you are not coping, which goes against the grain with most of us, but if we break who is going to get everything done?

Been to see our wonderful Doc at the pain clinic, my goodness if only all specialists were like him the country would be a better place. OH could talk to him easily about his new symptoms and not get treated like a fool. he was worried that the new ones were cos of the cancer and not the nerve damage and though I had researched it he wasnt sure - but happily or not (im not sure) its the nerve damage. So we tried to go out for a bite to eat on the way home but idiots and roadworks made it rather stressful so we ended up in the tranquility of our local Mr S. Its strangely nice in there maybe because its a slightly posher end of town, not being a snob but we needed calmness.

Im so sorry for all of you going through it at the moment, my heart goes out to you all. I consider you all such helpful, supportive and kind people as my dear friends and cannot miss a day on the thread. Am off to light a little candle now for those in need. xx

 Been a funny sort of day, I spent most of the morning making things fit into cupboards, and kind of forced to tidy up as I couldn't find the bit of paper for my road tax. Found it eventually, and managed to scrape together the money to go into town and go to the post office to get it. DH hasn't been paid for last month yet, so it's all a bit tight. The woman in the post office even commented that it was a bad time of year to have to fork out £120!

I also found some co-op vouchers - Just £2 worth, but went in and bought two bags of reduced spuds with them, and a reduced celery, and handed over just 75p. Last of the big spenders me :D Treated myself to a CD for £1.75 in the charity shop too. Vintage Marc Bolan, celebrating now that a good hoover and a swab down with voddie got my cd player working again.

Had to go through the freezer this morning too, as DD and I got loads of reduced stuff (meat) in Ald! and Mr T on Monday. I managed to squeeze it in at the time, but freed up a bit of space by repacking it in plastic bags, and chucking out the boxes. Really needed to replenish, as my store of 'ordinary' stuff were running low.

Tonight we are all eating something different to use up the leftovers in the fridge. I know OH is weird about me eating different stuff. He says it's because I might 'want' what he's got, and that he's just being polite. I secretly suspect he thinks I might try and poision him :rotfl: I've got quite a bit of cake left from the market too...and a cheesecake :) It was a bit quieter this week, but we did OK compared to the other traders I think.

I've got no hours at all in the cafe this week, so want to make productive use of my downtime!

Speaking as a regular reader and occasional poster, I don't feel that the thread is exclusive or smug at all.

I sometimes feel sorry that I don't contribute or share as much as some do, and hope that doesn't make me seem insensitive or uncaring - I have very little energy during term time and it's sometimes all I can do just to read.

I do laugh, cry and pray with you all though. I wish I could mention people's news when I do manage to post, but I lose track of who said what and then think it would be a bit unfair to mention some and not others :o

I hope everyone who posts their troubles knows that there's another one lurking here who cares too! And celebrating the good news as well.

I am so tired at the moment - I think it's my age (I'm at THAT age, y'know - where hormones start messing around). It feels like I'm dragging an anvil around with me - I am fantasising about my pillow! Anyone know any OS home style remedies for menopause?

I'm sure this rings true with many lurkers :) .

I don't post very often, but love to keep up with what's happening. I contribute if have something useful to add.

Not very OS and not that cheap, but Serenity cream is worth a go for hormonal stuff - well it's stopping me turning green and nasty anyway :rotfl:.
