eh crikey, I don't endeavour to give anyone tips about not paying the banks money. The bankruptcy was a horrible period and I just offer my toughie friends moral support and practical help with the process should they find one of their friends in that position. I'm really sorry if I've given the wrong impression.
I closed my blog a little while ago. I give off far too much personal info on here though. It's something I must watch, especially my location a secret.0 -

All I have ever asked is that Anon posters leave a name in the body of the post(which is probably made up anyhow)but it helps everyone in that you have an idea which anon said what otherwise even the anon's get confused who is who...
Unless there are clues that sound familiar it could be someone out to cause mischief sadly.
What a horrible day here. It is cold, wet with a colourless sky.
Well, I had to go out to buy some of those sheets that catch colour runs when you wash clothes in the washer. I popped into the charity shop and though it is a bit large for me, I found a jumper in mauve originally John Lewis brand 93%Lambswool and 7%Cashmere for 99p so I think that is a bargain...
Pops can you not leave that argument buried, we thought it was put to rest days a go, whats done is done, and you cant change it.............Dont keep harpering on and on it crazes people..............
Weather , well its dam cold and we now have a little rain coming, so in a few mins im gonna light the fire to cheer the place up:D.......

Shegar - Pops was referring to his blog I believe.
I know I have stopped mine mainly due to time - I dont have any! but a friend still blogs regularly and the abusive posts are ridiculous, nobody makes you read someones blog, if you dont like it just dont read surely. I stopped reading her blog ages got so upset that people were so downright rude.

Oh No!! I think I have an "itis". Swollen sensitive glands in neck, sore throat, sensitive ear and now shivers. I have absolutely no choice but to get on that plane on Thursday. If it hasn't gone or got better by tomorrow i'd better go to the quack for some "just in case" anti-b's. That won't help my fear of flying alcohol!!
Am making the christmas cake tonight - honestly why can't I let myself just buy it? But i've started so i'll finish - in the words of Magnus Magnusson - or was it Bamber Gascoigne and why do quiz masters have such stupid names. Who calls their child "Bamber" - bullied, much??
Lentil shepherds pie for tea and "grandad pie" for DS, a sort of corned beef hash my dad used to make for us.
Picked up a bargain of a work shirt in TKus Maksimus and was sorely tempted by boots and handbags but will wait till I get paid from Korea.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Fuddle, dont let anyone comment on what you have had to do. As you know ive been along a very simular path. Its caused me to fret and worry and has led to some various health complications over it. Having to go bankrupt is NEVER the easy option. Having your home taken away is very stressful and embarassesing in a way.The repercussions long after the deed is done is far far harder. I have no way of having a normal bank account, my card only works in certain cash machines. We cant get credit - although i dont personally want any. When we had to have a new car, my mum has lent me money on an interest free basis. Im very very lucky that she understands, my dad bless him diddnt but i was forgiven before he died.
I have been allowed avery high interest credit card, from the V brand. I buy 1 thing amonth and pay it immediatley - thus trying to build up my reputation with the bank.
Sorry if this post offend anyone but I can fully understand both sides. I would have loved to have never been in the situation in the first place. We were victims in the last recession, unemployed and very little benefits. Thats how we got into the mess.
Hope eveyone has a lovely warm cosy evening.BSC member 137

Beccatje I hope you feel a bit less shocked today. It will be ok once you get your head round it.
fuddle wonderful news about your house. Oh I've just seen the kitchen photo. I am now green with envy. You have more cupboards there than we have. Our kitchen is tiny.
Re CH discussion. Not having some form of heating can damage the house and your health. People in the past did not die early for no reason. Chest problems were rife in days gone by. You do not need to heat to the temperature of the Bahamas but comfortable heat with winter clothing on should be sufficient.
Stiltwalker the pictures are lovely. Well done with the dresses.
Your cakes are brilliant SDG. My sister does that as a hobby but would like to make it a business.
Re Pumpkin. I found grating and freezing it then thawing in a sieve over a jug makes it pretty dry for baking and the liquid is good in soup.
Nuttyp and fuddle you have both learned from your problems so don't feel bad. It would be a tragedy if you had learned nothing and there are plenty of people out there who don't seem to learn no matter how many times they get knocked down, they just keep going back for more.0 -
Sorry have been missing in action...I broke my back tooth (yes the one with the new root canal work!) on Friday evening and spent all weekend eating very soft food and waiting to ring the dentist this morning. To make things even better I didn't know what days they are striking this week!
Went out to a lovely new karaoke on Saturday night where they made us feel very welcome, loved the rock and roll songs we did and even had a log fire blazing in the bar....loved it.
Sunday we went to the remembrance ceremony in town and then up to the church for refreshments. Last night we just took things easy..just as well as Monday (today) turned out to be a day from hell.
I phoned the dentist and the receptionist tried to fob me off with an appointment on Thursday...if they weren't on strike. So I told her to get the dentist to phone me as the broken tooth was sharp as a razor and cutting my tongue. He rang me and told me to go in at 11.30 as it should be easy to fix if the root canal work was not damaged. Great news, the root canal work was intact so he put pins in and did a filling without hurting me once. 30 euros for private emergency appointment...very good!
Decided to go to the gym but half way there my husband had a really bad nose bleed. Had to pull over and I took over the driving. It was so bad I had to pull over while he went to the bathrooms at the port to sort it out....scaring the cleaner to death as he rushed past covered in blood! I was illegally parked on a dual carriageway but the policeman trying to conduct the traffic nodded then ignored me. It had stopped bleeding 20 mins later so we went home to have some soup and a cuppa.
Set off again for the gym and his nose started pouring again so I insisted on driving him to A and E. The staff were great, straight in, straight onto a bed with all the staff around him trying to stop it bleeding. They used some meds to stop the bleeding and had to plug it. Eventually he was allowed home but he has to go back to see the Ear,nose and throat specialist tomorrow morning.
I have to take the car in for its major service so the plan is to drop him off at the hospital when I take it in , if its raining heavy. Otherwise he will take his scooter and I will take the car in as we can't cancel the service as they are doing it discounted by half. The builder will have to wait till one of us gets home to start repairing the balcony from the earth tremor damage........
Honestly, it never rains but it pours!!!!!! Speaking of which, my friend the storm chaser sent me this map of the predicted storm that will hit the UK next weekend or a day or so later. It looks awful....
