Fuddle, we have all watched you grow before our very eyes and your latest post shows that. You will never work your Mum out completely but hopefully she will come to realise how lucky she is to have a lovely daughter and accept that we are all different. It took me many years to have a comfortable relationship with my Mum but she is still very hard work. When I was 14 Mum went into hospital and gave me her wedding ring which I wore on my right hand until I got married, I wore it for many years then it became too big for me so it lives in a box in my workbox next to my chair. Personally I dont think I need a ring after 34 years but everyone has their own choice to make xxx

Its pickling down here and I have a muggy headache which usually means a storm, but I think in this case its actually stress, have packed Oh off to see DGS as he is better out of my way today as we are both snappy. Think a bit of lunch is in order - Hm minestrone today, yummy.

TBH Tawny, if you are going to write a public blog, then there will always be people who will write something horrible. My advice is to delete and forget about it. Is there a reason why you want a public blog as opposed to writing privately? I don't have a thick enough skin so wouldn't do a public blog :D, or if I did, would just delete all the horrible posts and certianly not respond to them. Don't try and answer the poster or let them know you are upset. And then forget them. :)

My blog would be called The Diary of a Bitter & Twisted Woman, from which I would probably get a lot of posters commenting, saying they agree! :rotfl:
What you say is very true Byatt. I am not sure why my blog is public, I suppose it is because when I started there was a really nice community of parent bloggers on the net. It has moved more away from parenty things though and covers lots of 'bits' of my life. The parent blogging 'scene' became very commercial and professional and I am anything but. I might make it private actually, that is a good suggestion.
I promise that I will do my best.....

Kittie that is what I have. It started very suddenly 12 days ago but is getting better very slowly. Knocks your feet from under you though. Not affected my chest too badly but my sinuses are horrible.

It`s awful grandma. Cough has gone but sinuses are bad and head still very fuzzy and using lots of tissues. 7 days for me and 12 days also for dh and it looks as though it`ll take another 2 weeks at this rate

I am kind of regretting passing on my interpretation of PC`s forecast, although he did say 20% chance that there would be no snow. He did say a roller coaster and it is that alright, up one day and down the next. Maybe that is why many bodies are not adapting as quickly when hit by a bug. However never say never and my instinct told me to get stocked and dh has ordered winter tyres as we were completely stuck for 6 weeks in 2010. The lane was impossible on normal tyres

I do have a sm order coming from waitrose tomorrow but just basics really, like fruit. I went out today as I am getting cabin fever, morrison first and then aldi and now have all the christmas food basics in the house as I have no intention of doing battle in december. Got an aldi 4 bird roast etc. I only wish I could find long life cream that I used to get from tesco, it was such a brilliant standby. They only have oily elmlea or squirty cream

Fuddle my wedding ring was threatening to strangle my finger, it hadn`t been moved for 40 years and the finger had grown all around it. It was absolute murder to get off, with a lot of pulling and soap and a very purple finger. My finger still shows the ring mark after 9 months. I am fine without it and no longer miss it on my finger

Hi everyone, just managed to catch up from posts going back to saturday as i was working and then yesterday we went to see friends and had luch at their house. Was a lovely day, nice to catch up. We went on holiday with them in september.

Today i have a day off work along with tomorrow and then its another 10 days straight of late/eveing shifts. Im not complaining as there is some very sad news on here of people loosing their jobs. Just have to accept the hours and conditions of where i work.

New tumble dryer was delivered saturday morning at 7.20am but 2 very cheerey delivery men. They had come all the way from barnsley - starting at 4am and they were due home at 10pm. Thankyou nice men!!! It was definalty an expense i didnt want, but having my house turning into a chinese laundry wasnt a good look.

Looving the new litchen fuddle, its not everly large but its very much on the better side of things. Can you get a small fold down table in there?? Might help when baking. So glad things are looking up for you, have been in the exact same way and at the time nothing looks good. Your little ones muct be so excited. And your little man will be fine, dogs can adapt to most things as long as they are loved, warm and have a nice comfy bed for afternoon snoozes!!!

Love and best wishes to everyone, hope the sniffles are easing.

Fuddle - Ikea sell a wall mounted table that folds down flat when not in use.
  • Fuddle don't let ANYONE upset you cos your blog has helped me ( and I'm sure others ) LOADS . They are just TROLLS that try to cause MISS CHIEF and not worth the worry or upset . If they are being nasty could be a banker being upset cos your giving people tips on NOT paying them money

Danetastic, thank you, I loved the pics of your doggies, so cute :D The Dane has stolen my heart, he is so typical. My friends dane used to back himself up and sit on my lap :rotfl:

Right off to do something useful as the tv is talking to itself in the other room and no doubt has the lights on in there too - OH passed through illuminating the entire house, a trick he has handily passed on to DS
