Aww Fuddle lovey - lots of people would break under what you have faced, and you most certainly have not - everyone is allowed a 'moment' every so often! Treat yourself kindly and with understanding and give yourself a bit of time out and you'll be ready to face that big bad old world again in no time - Hugs X
Kez - Some virtual hugs coming your way too. Your great auntie sounds like a wonderful woman - your OH is right, you have to go! I'm sure your great auntie wouldn't want you to miss out either. Go, enjoy yourself with your friend and see if you can spot something that would make great auntie laugh - a funny outfit, a good overhear or something like that!
Princess - Hugs to you to - hope both you and your doggies feel more settled soon and that poor doggie is ok.
While I'm doleing out hugs please grab one if you need one!
Busy organising day today as we are off up to my parents tomorrow morning and on to Center Parcs on Monday. So got heaps of ironing and packing to do. It's also DD's first school disco this evening!!! New starters for September have been invited to the KS1 one - my little girl is growing up! She's going to wear the skirt set Granny got that will be no use for all day wear but will do for a hour or two when she'll be stood up in her walker anyway and she has picked out ribbons for her bunches.
Ok must move my derriere and get on with my jobs - catch you later - X0 -
FUDDLE lovie, if you need the anti-depressants than far better to take them than to suffer and feel lost every day. They will get you back on an even keel and support you through the day to day trials and tribulations of life. You and how you feel are very important and if you feel so low and sad that you can't operate properly then take the help poppet, one day life will sort itself out for you and you'll get to a point where you might not need them because you'll be fine without them and just look how far you've come down that road since last year, you're doing OK and have dealt with so many things that would have broken other people. You are a feisty little trier my girl, but if you need the help now, you take it and hold your little head up and be proud of you, because we are, we're here, always, and there's no wonder you're feeling out of sorts with all the noisy machinery working around you all day, it would make me feel cross and grumpy, in fact when we lived in Germany they did build all round us, oh I remember how I lived on the ceiling for such a long time until it was finished, grim, grim, grim!!!!! It will end one day and then you'll feel better and more like you, hugs little one, keep talking to us, Love Lyn xxx.0

Kez, my thoughts are with you. What a lovely and vivacious woman.
Princess, hope you're feeling more settled.
Fuddle---I often think it is the strongest who break down--we all get so used to relying on them, and they get used to relying on themselves. Antidepressants are just another kind of medicine for when part of your body isn't able to function the way we would hope. Needing them isn't a reflection on who you are or how hard you try any more than any other sort of medicine is. Big hugs.
Had a nice morning, quiet so got lots of work done. Did some washing but it can't make up its mind outside if it will be wet or not so have it hung up inside. Hopefully things will dry better in this house which does not have damp problems!
Thanks Mrs LW--that sounds perfect and it will make for some nice easy puds later in the year!0 -
Fuddle, you have been gritting your teeth and tackling issues head on for months now and eventually your head says enough - I know all too well this feeling. We cope as long as we can. A good cry may help, thats what I did earlier then I picked myself up again and got on. If the Gp thinks you need anti d's then take them and soon you will be coping again. Could you not go out for a picnic tomorrow to the park or something and get away from home for a few hours ?
Been to Mr S and spent £7, I just bought exactly what we needed but tomorrow I must stock up.
Am sending hugs to all those having a bad day and hope the weekend brings us some sun and a respite from stress. Hubby is going with his old cricket team tomorrow and Sunday to score the matches for them as we haven't got DGS this weekend so I have 2 afternoons to myself. I have to sort all my craft stuff as I am continually stuffing it in bags so DGS can play at the table and am fed up with not finding stuff, so wish me luck :rotfl: I maybe sometime.Clearing the junk to travel light

I will get my caravan0 -
Aw Fuddle, I hope the ADs will help you get back on an even keel. I couldn't cope living with all the building work you seem to have around you, when you are anxious you become hypersensitive to noise and the slightest thing can make you jump a mile. But we are all stronger than we think and we will all come out the other side smiling
Princess, hope the doggie is OK, how awful.
Kez, your aunts sounds lovely. We miss my lovely MIL who died two years ago but we can still hear her voice and smile at all the memories. I don't think she was ever miserable, always delighted to see us and the DDs, making tea, playing games with the girls, such a warm welcome. Makes you realise what is important. Everyone loved MIL not because she and her house were always immaculate but because of the person she was.
Well, dd and I made to to McDonalds for the post-exam celebration. Pleased I took her though it wasn't easy.
A little rant to finish. Forced myself down to the lottie a few minutes ago only to find that all the broccoli DH and I had planted AND
NETTED the other day had been stripped. Also 'something' has uprooted a load of beetroot and radish seedlings and the new bag of compost is full of ants. Grrrrrr
Very tempted to suggest that we dig up the new Bramley apple we planted a couple of weeks ago and bring it home to squeeze into the back garden as we don't seem to be getting much out of the lottie these days considering the rent and time we put into it. Sorry to moan but I know the gardeners will understand.0 -
How annoying ALFSMUM, I'll bet the beetroot and radish seedlings were uprooted by blackbirds, they're feeding young and will try for grubs in any loose soil, I keep having to replant half the bedding plants in the garden because they pull them out to get at the soil underneath, Grrrrrrr but I suppose baby birds have to eat, don't know about the broccoli except the pigeons here have learned to sit on the net to weigh it down so they can get to the plants under it, could be that, little rotters!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Hi All,
Is it really nearly 3pm already? Time seems to fly by these days...another dull day weatherwise. Been looking at my favourite weather site and it "Don't look good" for the rest of June/July. Its pretty accurate and you can make it really local to where you live and see a variety of maps and information.
You probably know of it already but if you'd like to try it out here's a link...

Thinking about what to have for my meal later. Have some roast potatoes to use up. Have to decide what to do with them.
Could do vegetables, gravy and some kind of meat.
I could do a salad and keep the potatoes for another day. Could consider more like a mixed grill or perhaps some fish...even considered scrambled eggs with added flaked salmon. Then the rest of the salmon could be used in a salad another day.
I really can't decide at present. if anyone wants to advise, push me in a direction all help is welcome.:)
its a day for parting with money:(
I may buy one of my rare Euromillions lottery tickets. I'd even be happy to win just enough to pay for a year's worth of tickets. Or to keep it going for a few months.
I need to top up the bank account so there is enough to pay the DD for the internet/phone rental, electric and rent, bedroom tax and water rates. So will have to pop into the bank.
Its been a while since I went to the theatre and one of the shows I booked last year is coming around tomorrow night...the touring version of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap. Its been years since I saw a live drama on stage or any drama for that matter even on TV. Same regarding films(I am totally out of the loop)
Four of the cast have appeared in Eastenders, one from Coronation Street, one from Brush Strokes and one from The Archers. As its been ages since I watched CS and I never watched EE...I only really know the two actors from TA and BS.
Well the weather site was right with today's forecast. Mixture of sun and showers in the time I have written this, there has been rain, cloud and now some sunshine. So I may avoid getting wet when I go out at 4pm(ish)
Being single and for now being so close to the shops(if I can stay put)I don't need to use many of the shops(because mostly its food shopping)and at the bottom of my street all that I use regularly are virtually next to each other(Wilkinsons, Pound Stretcher, Aldi's, Tesco's, Argos, my bank, the charity shop and a hairdressers)"A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Thanks for the messages of support. I'm doing alright now. I kind of had a blip and moved on.
I applied for a job. I know, stupid considering.
Toughies I think I need outside world contact. I spend too much time alone in the house and need to do something. It's only a part time nannying position but worth a try until my childmninding comes through.
Best thing is... the builders went home around 2pm0 -
Praise the monkeys........PEACE AND QUIET Yaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!!!0

I'm glad you managed the celebration, Alfsmum. I would be fuming with those garden frustrations:mad:
Fuddle, I don't think you're mad to apply for a job. I know you've been up and down about working and had some bad experiences, but it makes sense that you want to get out of the house a bit. Part time nannying might help with that and not be too much.
Finished work a bit early today, so did some of the things on my list of things I don't want to do but must do anyway. Have done a smidge more unpacking in my office and now about to clear things away in preparation for the new table legs tomorrow. OH has kindly agreed to go with me to what he thinks of as furniture hell tomorrow as long as we leave early. He also promised to let me look about for as long as I wanted within reason. We can't buy anything big for right now, but I like to know where things are. There are a few small bits that are in the budget which I'll be picking up, which reminds me, I must check my tealight stash! The promise of meatballs may have helped. He did very well in his end of course assessments, so a nice treat for him won't go amiss.:D However, I've resolved to take cash only, just to ensure I'm not tempted, textiles and kitchenalia are weaknesses of mine:A
Have found some new sprouts in the garden, particularly the broccoli.
Pops, what about using the roast potatoes to do some sort of salad? Mixed with grilled vegetables that could be nice.
We'll be having salmon on top of an orange and rhubarb salad, loosely based off of a goodfood recipe, although I don't have one of the spices and I'll be using mixed leaves instead of cress because that is what I've got. Another one of my supersix menu planning adventures--I've found some good recipes this way. I've also found some odd combinations--fun and economical way to experiment, I guess!:rotfl:0
