ETA lol, why does MSE think "gh0uls" needs to be !!!!!! out? Is this some kind of swear word and no one told me?

    Kind of ;)

MSE has a board called "Debate House Prices and the Economy" which is only available to members who are logged in. It is a place of robust debate and populated by some very knowledgeable people and also a fair few banned posters, AE's and sock puppets. They had a problem with a troll who registered around 50 times as a !!!!! of some description so MSE black listed the word.

One of the regulars has a very sick young child and is asking for people to vote for her charity, only takes 30 seconds and she might win £2k :D Please vote and share the link if you would like to help.

:D Well I never would have guessed that in a million years, and have never been on that board. Thanks for the explanation.

It's saved me from wondering if I'm now so middle-aged that I'm not keeping up with current fads in cussing..........:rotfl:

:)Heh! Not enough hours in the day, unfortunately. And what I know about house prices could be written in capitals on the back of a postage stamp, lol.

Well, I know what costs what in this city, my hometown and various places where I've bothered to look but with a pre-tax income of £11k, a garden shed is more my price point.

Actually, I have realised that I'm not just a tenant, I am a Woman of Substance - I own 1.7 garden sheds. The 0.7 is a shed in pieces (some bits missing) but Mum and I intend to resusitate it some time over the next few months. Then I shall have my very own 6 x 4 play house.

Have a lovely time in Lunnon Town, marie, safe journeys.

I'm falling-on-my-face tired atm due to being woken at 4 am by The Couple from Hell, eviscerating their relationship right outside my bedroom. They staged a re-run at 5 am, in case anyone had missed it. Honestly, why can't ppl row in the daytime hours when I'm at work? Should be a law agin it or summat.

Your personal, on the doorstep soap comes with its own plus hour?
    Now that's posh :)

Oh nuatha, that's brilliant! Laughing aloud here.

I think they should go to couples counselling. At gunpoint, if necessary.

SuperGran and various other peeps resident on the Far Side (of the Towers, not the comic strip realm.....) have been trying to puzzle out the weird-explosionin-the-middle-of-the-night.

Doors rattled in frames. SG arose from her bed, got into her dressing gown and shoes and went out looking for whatever caused it. We just cannot figure what it was and another neighbour called the Polis and they were being very very odd about it, not willing to confirm or deny they knew anything about it.

I swear my life gets more and more farcial by the day. Deffo don't need a TV when I have the occupants of 99 other flats living their lives (somewhat chemically-enhanced lives in some cases) all around me.

Right, off to beddy-byes before someone finds a sub-woofer they need to demonstrate to the rest of us..........See ya tomorrow, lovely people.

Glad you got to see your great auntie Kez and to hear she sounded in good spirits. She has a strong personality eh? Sending you a very well deserved hug.

Sorry about your gardening problems Alfsmum and :T for taking DD to McDs.

Fuddle - as you say, just a blip. Think of the ADs as some extra support, life can be tough enough and if you need a little extra help, why not take it? Make sure you plan some nice time just for you every day.

    Go stiltwalker's DD! D-I-S-C-O!

Kidcat - I so wish I could do something to help to ease things for you, you have so much to cope with. I know you have a support group but do you know if you entitled to any sort of practical help? I don't have much knowledge about carer's rights so excuse my ignorance. I'm sure you have already looked into it all. I know you are incredibly busy but it's very important that you make some time for yourself.

GQ - the shannigans in your block sound really annoying. Bliddy selfish of that couple. We live in a terraced house with paperthin walls (I call it a flat pack house, it's such poor quality) and I share your pain. One side are lovely, the other are a family who communicate by shouting all the time, kids go to bed really late and their dog is always yapping (don't think it gets enough attention poor little thing) Then of course there is the guy whose car alarm is always going off. Even if it was quiet outside, DS9 shouts in his sleep, cats complain loudly to go in/out during the night and DH snores!!

Well DS6 has just come down to tell me he is scared of monsters so promised him a cuddle in our bed so night night all

I hope I am able to pass in the same spirited way as your GA, Kezlou. Hugs.
Danetastic, WB, how horrible for you, I do hope that nothing irreplaceable has gone.
I've only ever had a purse stolen by a sneak thief who got it out of my coat pocket in the rear lobby, some 24 years ago.
We'd only just moved here and it turned out that it was quite a crime hotspot, entirely due to the relaxed policies of the children's care centre across the Great North Road. They gave the kids a lot of rope and we suffered. These days it's a secure unit and crime figures have been much lower.

Fuddle, I've been doing depression in my studies, please keep taking the tabs. Pops, nearly caught you for a chat outside Mr T's, you must have seen the trike, but by the time I'd got out, you'd scuttled off.

Thankfully life isn't offering too many worries ATM, pain manageable, work good... Got my tax credit renewal sent off. By my calculations they owe me a lot of money, so hopefully there will be good news on the horizon to clear annoying credit card debt - house repairs and a larger than expected tax bill gave me those.
Enuff waffle. Wishing all a good weekend.

Lots that need little or no cooking. Still can't believe I missed you.

Sent an e-mail earlier in the week(can't remember if it needed a reply)probably not...
