Wishing we had fly pasts here - we once saw a Spitfire go over and the noise was lovely. My dad was RAF in the war too and he loved them. We sometimes get the big Hercules flying very low, I love that too. And we're in a designated low-flying area, so the coos regularly jump out of their wee socks at the jets going over. I love them as well, although sometimes the noise literally makes the ground shake :)

We have a spitfire 8 miles from us, it as a lady pilot named Caroline Grace, also her son now pilots a spitfire ....

We often see it overhead cos she do a lot of events , plus if you cant see it you can hear it up there somewhere......:), lovely sound of engine.......

No rain here today , but we need it, the ground is very dry, ive got some water in the water butts , but its so heavy when youve done 4 or 5 water cans on the garden .......

On to the prices of taking the grand children out during the half term , well yes its dam expensive, my 2 sons took all the grand children camping for 2 nights in the woods well it was the forest really , they lit a fire and cooked bacon , toasted mushrooms, etc , they really really enjoyed it .............

Just hearing the muntjac barking, the birds starting to sing at 3 in the morning and they heard the cuckoo , they were more excited with doing that than going out somewhere, its such a adventure for children..................:D

Im whacked today, woke up very tired had loads to do , got some of it done at a very slow pace, but there is another day tomorrow.........Sheila

Gosh, I'm tired today, still have stuff that needs sorting out, as I decided to re-jig the kitchen and its contents! mmmhhh...

today has been sorting paperwork, why is there so much carp when we now have so much done through online resources, I have masses of shredding and stuff for the recycling box! Plus braved a call to 3 (phone people) after a nightmare call a month ago to cancel my mobile broadband. Over 60 minutes later I still hadn't managed to cancel and was told blatant lies. So today I was extra assertive and hopefully it's now been canclled...I was told I had to give 30 days notice, I said I gave more than 30 days notice, but it seems that's "still in contract", so they wanted me to pay another month. as it was now less than 30 days notice, I argued the point and again, hopefully, I will only be charged for a couple of extra days not another full month. There was more but I'm too exhausted to think about it.

Having some odd chest pains over the left side, not sure whether to mention to doctor or not, I hate making a fuss. :o

It's raining heavily here which is a shame, but reasonably warm.

DD is really quite happy at the moment and it's lovely, she is having lots more support with the new team and seeing her old friends again, who are special needs and not without their own problems but at least I know she's safe and has a good time with them. She's off to But£ins next month for a few days with the "girls", I'm not going to worry. :rotfl::rotfl:

Still some issues with one of her neighbours, but not much I can do, until DD realises she is being taken advantage of.

Pooky, hope your DD's have a lovely time, and enjoy the show. :)

Just made A girl called Jack's posh mushroom chaseur, it's lush! Easy and cheap to make too. You can have it with mash or rice, I used cous cous as that's what I had, and add veg if you want to. Trying not to eat what's left as that's tomorrow's tea! :D

Mar, I forgot about the stove even though it's directly in front of me. :o

    I feel turrible..............:rotfl:

Coming out of lurkdom....GQ, you ironed pillowcases!! (Admittedly I do love getting into a fresh, crisp, ironed, heavy cotton made up bed, but don't bother doing it....)

I'm proud to say my iron has only been out twice in the past 15 months - once for DD's Hamma beads and once for some Velcro on her dance costume! Both times made me shudder and need therapy, lol.

evening toughies, jem its lovely to "see" you again. :)

Its been a good day today, we received news today that DS15 DLA has been granted and that he will have it until 2018 which is incredible news and will really make a huge difference, not just because of the actual money but for the other stuff it opens up for him. If he can go to college it means he automatically gets extra help and IT support too, day trips he can avoid queues and all manner of other help too.

I then was called out to a mum whose child is in crisis and needed advice and support, we often give both but have never been involved at this level. We were able to get her an action plan sorted and she left smiling where she had arrived in tears, it was so good to make a real difference.

Tomorrow we are off out for the day either zoo or farm, kids will vote in the morning.

We also squeezed in a trip to costco, lots of taste tests but not huge amounts of big bargains this time :)
  • OK I confess I LIKE IRONING!!!!!!!!! I know that makes me a very sad being, and probably someone should explain the error of my ways, but, I love how it smells, I love how it feels stacking the still warm things after they've been ironed and I love the feeling of satisfaction when the job is finished and the pile is sat there, all pristine and neat, Oh goodness me, I should really get a life shouldn't I??? I never thought ironing could be a vice!!!!!
