A company called C!ipper makes liquorice tea. It's very nice.

Good luck tomorrow Pops....glad that McCulloch will be with you as I think that you may have been a bit too meek and mild with them.

Think that we are all suffering from too little sun, too much cold and too much stress....hopefully we will have even a few weeks of summer.

Kidcat....guilt is a mother's thing, try to put it on a shelf now and then as it is unlikely to go away although quite unnecessary in your case.

So do I! We've managed(and that is me on my own now)for over 50 years and no problems of my or others making mischief for me so why start now...if they arrive too early I may refuse to talk to them until mcculloch29 gets here:)

With all the tidying up I can't find the warning letter that was sent to me:mad:but it will turn up...

Good old PG Tips tea bags for me. Have tried others and go back to them each time. :)

Pukka also do an aniseed tea - I've found like marmite people either love it or hate it, and nothing in between. I love it.

Good Morning - Cold, wet and grey, wind actually howling all night - yea gods! I dread going up to the gardens to see what havoc has been wreaked. Good news is that the Warmints have not come back yet...

Good luck for this morning Pops, just keep calm and let them dig their own holes, and make sure you find out exactly what their problem is - you really do need to pin them down, if nothing else for your own peace of mind that you are doing the right things.

SQ - I am amazed you lasted that long before doing something - I am afraid I would have had to let her know well before that she was taking liberties. Some people spend their lives sucking on the generous natures of others, it is a trait I find particularly unpleasant. I think you were far more diplomatic than I would have been :rotfl:(not my strong point as OH is only too happy to tell me!).

We use Aldi Gold tea bags for our daily tea, we used to drink Twinnings Everyday, the Adli is just as nice but a lot cheaper. I love Lady Grey (no milk), it is very refreshing. OH uses the Aldi Rich Roast ground coffee for his cafetiere, it smells lovely, it must be nice or he would not drink it. He also uses the Co-Op own brand gold instant coffee now and then, he prefers it to Nescafe.

Got a lot of cooking to do today, I picked up a box of tomatoes and a dozen red peppers cheap at the wholesalers yesterday, so I think it's a mammoth chilli making session for me!

Hoping everyone has a good Friday, whatever the weather, and hugs for those that need them!

Mrs C we are the same. A baltic wind right off the north pole - and even worse when you're 1000ft up and the back of the house faces due north. Summer. Aye. Right.
Thanks all re the teas - I will look when I hit Sainsbugs on monday. When I used to go out drinking I always stuck to Pernod, could drink a bucket of that stuff :) but never had a hangover in my life. Then I discovered ouzo and that was even nicer.
Aye....it's a sad and sorry time that I now find meself in, reduced to drinking aniseed tea.... :D

Have you tried sucking on a licorice stick Mar - Spanish Root it's called. Nice and cheap and lasts for ages!

Must say I have a love-hate relationship with licorice, I hate pernod and ouzo but love Galliano-based drinks like Harvey Wallbanger!

Good morning :) nasty here weather wise though.

MrsC I use a teaspoon. Thank you for the aldi gold recommendation. I have wondered wether DH would know that the tea bags are cheap with those ones as he didn't at all appreciate the sainsburys basics.

I thought about what you said last night Byatt and came to the conclusion that I will read feel the fear and do it anyway. I always avoided the book because I don't want to feel the fear and have no desire to do anything that makes me worry... But you're right , I am missing out!

I awoke with the 'ergh' feeling again but determined to geteid and be thankful there's just things in my life that pee me off Nd not causing me distress.

I use only Sainsbugs Basics - they just take a few minutes longer to infuse in the pot. Have patience grasshopper. LOL!
