Fuddle I have been using skin so soft for years, it really does work and as you know where I am the midges are evil.
Glad you and Kezlou had a good day.

I too can not believe how much things like biscuits are, I buy most from Lidl or the value ranges so I don't look very often at the big brands, I can't believe that a pack of digestives (branded) are £1.20 in our local co-op.

POPs I know we do not always see eye to eye on things but tread carefully and make sure that you are not taken advantage of with a friendship.

I appreciate that Cutest Kids and very wise words...I really do. I won't be parting with money again. I'm glad that I kept it down as low as I did. I saw the trip as a one off(think he hopes for more)but some of the tales seem totally unbelieveable. Most of them to be honest.

I kept thinking in my mind "You must think I was born yesterday" "You must think that I am really dumb" "How stupid do you really think I am"

I hope he's not going to be a stalker.

He may prove me wrong but for now I think he is fantasist(sp?)The stories I was told...I have to be so careful of offending with the following. He is special needs and is also in sheltered accomadation and is obviously allowed to go out and have a life so has independence but as said I do think he is weaving a make believe world.

It was one thing sitting next to him when I attend the shows at the local town hall. It just happened and now he seems to always be at them all. If I don't go I miss the shows. If I go...I'll try to nip it in the bud and keep just to the town hall...he's quite smart in some ways, as I came up with an excuse to miss another day he has planned, not easily fooled but for now the next town hall show is a month away.

He doesn't have my number or name(as yet)and though I have his mobile number I can say that I lost it. And by the next show that next planned day will have passed by.

Hi Pops - know just what you mean about the 'art' - I have an Aunt who is very arty/crafty but some of the things I've been to with her defy the imagination and description.
I've been reading your posts about Eddie & I must admit I'm with Cutestkids on this - too much too soon? None of us would like to see you being taken advantage of or hurt.

Sorry Pops - just cross posted with you

oh fuddle what you like :o, it was lovely meeting you and really enjoyed myself. The top you bought was lovely i'm still tempted by the sandles ;)
We got on so well and i felt so comfortable and felt like i'd known her for years. Have to say between us i was the most nervous! :rotfl:
How daft we both were, at least i didn't show her up by walking into the glass doors again!

I tormented poor fuddle with different types of tea, the tea shop is really nice with so many teas and smells. I think the one we tried was called christmas spice. You'll have to let me know how the chai latte went. Careful though they are so addictive and moreish, i'm blaming esquires! :p

In case anyone is wondering what chai latte is, it is an Indian milky tea with lots of different spices in, gorgeous .

hey fuds and kez - glad you had a fab day! Sounded lovely, never tried chai latte, will have to when I next get the chance.
I wish I had more OS style friends, I am a lightweight OS but getting more OS as time goes on. I know some folk think I'm a bit strange/tight probably but again with time I am caring less and less. I would love to attend an OS met-up but would be too nervous in a big group of new people.

When I was on my counselling skills course the other day, some folk were sorting drinks for our break and couldn't find any sugar. My mate pipes up "SQ you've got some sugar sachets in your bag haven't you?". We had been out with friends for a coffee beforehand and she knows I always collect a couple of sugars for my handbag rather than my cup. I wasn't embarrassed but felt maybe I 'should' have been! :D I am waiting for one day when someday replies "Yeah I do that too!".
I have been getting lots of comments about my new charity shop leather handbag, it's a gorgeous purple one but with people I don't know well I am reluctant to say where I bought it.

I can smell the kids' pizza so better get it out

:) Evening all, glad that fuddle and kezlou had a great meet-up.

I've lost count of the times I've been bowling along the aisle of a supermarket, glimpsed something out of the corner of my eye, stopped dead and said (sometimes aloud :o) You cannot be serious!

I mean, today I saw a red plastic tub of Family Circle biscuits and it was over £5! You can't tell me that it wasn't very long ago that you could get that tub with change from £3 and I'm sure its shrunk a bit, too. It's not as if the contents is anything particularly fancy, either.

I went charity-shopping after work and got a book and a pair of unworn mens jammies for my brother (£1!) and a bagful of fruit from the Magic Greengrocer. Will be eating well this weekend but it's all stuff brought on yellow label and frozen until needed.

I noticed that my local chippy has raised its prices yet again, and what they don't want for a cinema ticket these days........! I'm deffo turning into an old biddy, going HOW much?! :rotfl:

:p Good job that I'm a simple soul who is happy with simple pleasures.

  • Feeling really sad. I came home from work this afternoon and had to call the vet for my poor old cat. I had hoped for a stress free end for her, but the vet had trouble and my poor puss squealed several times. She was nearly 20 so a good age, but no age is a good when it is time to lose them. Now have a headache from crying.

What with that and confirmation of redundancy due on Monday, it is not going to be good few days.

    RIP puss. Missing you already.
