Well its lovely and warm here. I even got sunburnt spread some woodchips over the flower bed. It helps stop the weeds and the birds like to rummage in them!!

I have completed 4 washing loads and got them all line dried - I LOVE this weather.

Tomorrow is a ''flower parade'' near to us. Basically they cover some tractors in wire, add loads of flowers and sometimes vegetables in displays. Then they have people in costumes sitting on the floats. Lots of marching bands, and a carnival atmosphere at times. Free to watch too.

    Take care x

    No pay today.

I thought I was going to have to cancel my trip to see my old boss the head teacher but DH needed to head up the dual carriageway for work so cadged a lift, boss brought me back.

He's wrote what to write for my applications for teaching assistant posts so very pleased to have it from what he would be looking for... Ofsted outstanding head teacher and he's told me to use that fact as it shows I was a successful team member.

I have had such a lovely day too. He's a sheep farmer and with lambing season I got to feed the lambs in his ITU barn. Oh honestly, adorable! I had to hold them while he was doing something with their manly bits and got to see the collie in action herding. I helped pen, spray and clip hooves but got a big whack in the back of my knee from one of the ladies. It didn't half hurt!

He's foraged some comfry from his garden (and is going to take me out foraging!) and told me to boil it up as herbal tea and will make the bruise all better... He said with a glint!

He's going to keep the fleece from his adorably fluffy Leicester blue (I think) sheep for me to spin to crochet with. :) shocking to find out what the actual fleece is worth.. Couple of pounds. The price of yarn too :(

So, a great day and lovely to catch up with him. Sad part is seeing him worry about his sheep and lambs though. Because it was so cold over winter and so dry now, the sheep have little growth of grass to graze on, putting their milk production into jeopardy which jeopardises the lambs. He's feeding them with more and more artificial food but...

I sat in his lovely rustic farmhouse with woodburner and dreamt. Typical my boss though, served me weetabix for me lunch!

Just what I needed today. :)

Yes I do buy most veg from Aldi, but that and chicken breast/quorn is pretty much all I'm eating at the moment so I get through a lot. I've got some frozen peppers so will stop buying those fresh, and funnily enough Alf's Mum I bought some seeds in Aldi yesterday for growing salad etc. We need veg for the rabbits too though so obviously frozen is no good for them. Sigh. Eating unhealthily is so much cheaper!

Well done on the weight loss, Possession. My OH is trying to lose 3 stone. The first one was easy but it's slowed right down now.

I like big bowls of soup - light on the ww points and very filling. not too heavy on the purse either.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

O stoppit woman. I'm sat here wi my face pressed against the window, watching the lashing rain. :(:(
(((((((mar)))))))))) I'll package you some flawless blue sky, hot sun, cherry blossoms and sweeties and send them up to Scotlandshire.

I know Scotland's sons and daughters are a proud and doughty race (used to live there, have many scottish friends) but have you thought about emigrating? Southern Englandshire is particularly fetching at the moment. 20 c. Peeps everywhere, tho.

I work with people who've escaped from the Outer Hebrides, Glasgow and a few other places north of the border. An Aberdonian mate is pulling my chain that when you get independance, I shall have to use my passport to come visit him.

;) My retort is that when Scots get independance, he'll have to apply for a work permit as most of his contracts are sarf of the border. I'm allowed to legpull, as if you rattle my family tree various McSummats fall out. They were reknowned for being brawlers and cattle-thieves.............:rotfl:

Hmm. I expect that's where the red hair, green eyes and freckles come from. I blend quite nicely in Scotland until I open my mouf.
