don't think they will have much stock to clear as they were paying up front for goods , their suppliers were not willing to give them the standard credit line (same happened to Woolworths just before they ent )

    Contact your insurance company?
  • The Comet website has been updated with a set of FAQs and to announce a sale ("starting soon").

Your insurance company has settled your claim so they are not required to help out if Comet's administrators decide the cards aren't valid - BUT it is well worth talking to your insurance company to see if they will do anything on a goodwill basis. Probably no point asking your insurer until the situation at Comet has clarified.

Yes, I doubt my insurer will do anything since they issued it to me in February and I left them in October. It is valid for one year, but I was saving it for Christmas. I will give them a call once things are clearer.
  • worse thing is i rang them on thursday when i got my card, told them send it out to me on thursday but they said they couldnt with a card so to come on fri or the weekend, all my stuff was saved and just to be collected
