don't think they will have much stock to clear as they were paying up front for goods , their suppliers were not willing to give them the standard credit line (same happened to Woolworths just before they ent )Ex forum ambassador

We have a comet replacement card through an insurance claim with the value of £219.00 still on this card. Today at our local comet store this has been refused..............what actions do we now need to take?0

Your insurance company has settled your claim so they are not required to help out if Comet's administrators decide the cards aren't valid - BUT it is well worth talking to your insurance company to see if they will do anything on a goodwill basis. Probably no point asking your insurer until the situation at Comet has clarified.0 -

i rang the company, suprise, lined dead, on both numbers i had, and i have a £11,254 replacement card which i got on thursday, went to use yesterday and boom, doors slammed on my face0 -

Yes, I doubt my insurer will do anything since they issued it to me in February and I left them in October. It is valid for one year, but I was saving it for Christmas. I will give them a call once things are clearer.0 -
worse thing is i rang them on thursday when i got my card, told them send it out to me on thursday but they said they couldnt with a card so to come on fri or the weekend, all my stuff was saved and just to be collected0
