No Buying Unnecessary toiletries in November

I too hate it when you get bad packaging on a product. The packaging I particularly hate is the metal tubes that L'occitane use for their hand cream and Weleda use for their cleansers. Of course you then end up buying a L'Occitane key to help get the rest of the product out!
what's a L'Occitane key?
I had a reluctant IN last week. A nail varnish that came free with a magazine. I nearly didn't buy the magazine, even though I wanted it, because I didn't want the nail varnish. It's usually the other way round!3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
I've had 2 Nails Inc polishes from Glamour, one a while ago and one in the current issue but both have chipped SO quickly. I don't own any other Nails Inc polishes so are they giving away sub-standard ones with Glamour or do they just chip easily? It's definitely put me off ever paying full price for one as they chip really badly within one day!0

I had a Nails Inc freebie with the Diet coke offer a year or so ago and it chips super quick, if they are doing poor quality for the freebie you would think that would defeat the whole object. My one and only full price purchase of theirs is Prinrose Park and its OK, I have never found any polish that lasts as long as the manufacturer claims.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Basically you fit the end of the metal tube into the slot in the key and roll it up so that you squeeze all of the product out.
Totted up the total of the Elemis GWP we got yesterday and it comes to a staggering £175.00! Very impressed.
Have been to Sainsbury's this afternoon and have an IN. Coal tar liquid soap.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Sorry, not tried it yet. It will be my first purchase when my shower gel stock gets down to one in use and 1 in readiness:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I only tried it in the store and loved it; it smelt beautiful, was very light but moisturising. I was the oddball sniffing my hand walking around the shopping centre all day after trying it.0 -

Yes - I have tried it - it is absolutely divine - it lathers up really well and smells delicious. I kind of overdosed on it when I did an AD with "The Q" and the almond shower oil was the item that was in every set but I used some this year again and remembered how much I loved it.rogueylawyer wrote: »Not hugely helpful given your previous comment, but I use Benefit BADGal. It's a very creamy thick formula so doesn't run like a lot of other products. Plus I use it in plum as it enhances eye colour (black is too harsh on me).
I didn't realise the Badgal came in plum - will definately be investigating that as I once had some plum mascara from Boots No 7 and it really suited me. Currently using a Smashbox mascara and having the same problem as Maddiemay and end up with panda eyes by the end of the day. I stopped putting it on my bottom lashes but it still manages to smudge onto my under eye. Will persevere until the end of the month I think then throw the towel in and move on to something else from the stash.
BTW - had a count up of my £1s in my toiletry money box and now have £190 saved since January - not bad as I really haven't missed the £1 every time I UU something.0 -

That's looks good but  OMG at the price. I have a BS hemp hand cream at work that is nearly finished but at this price will just keep squeezing it as too expensive.
Just had a thought, would a pilchards key do the same thing :rotfl::DLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0
