My second IN of the month - Morrisons Orchid White Shower Creme 400ml - I haven't any shower gel at all in the stash now and I'm trying to get any basics I need as cheaply as possible at the moment, toiletries included, if I don't notice a difference in quality or feel like I'm missing out then all the better! Chances are I'll get lots of toiletries at Christmas so I thought I'd go back to basics in the meantime. This was a super bargain at 63p and actually smells nice and isn't in depressing value packaging or bright luminous green - I'm sure they make some of the saver type products look deliberately uninviting just so you'll buy something more expensive! Also had a look at their face wipes but didn't think they were particularly cheap at £1 a pack, you can get some in HB that are 2 for a £1 and Nivea twin packs are only about £2.50. That said, I'm managing fine without face wipes at the moment since the last pack ran out - I'm using a foaming cleanser in the shower in the morning and makeup remover/cream cleanser at night.

No more UU at the min but have a few splutterers/cut down tubes so hopefully some soon although its quite often difficult to tell how long they're going to hold out for!
  • Another bottle bites the dust!:j

Shampoo/Conditioner 2in1 300ml x 1 WNBA Mr A own brand and ..... errr just didn't like it as it was awful to get to lather .....

    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!
  • Another UU (I seem to be averaging one a day at the moment!)

Elle MacPherson release the day bath soak 50ml travel bottle.
I liked the scent of this although it was very subtle. I kept adding more until eventually I'd used the whole travel size bottle (I am fairly generous with bubbles though). Nice and relaxing but not in any overt way.

That bring my total to 9UU so far this month and 25 UU/TA since I started the challenge 25 days ago :A

Hi everyone, been away from the thread this week but just catching up.

I have 1 UU - a Herbal Essence shampoo, :) so thought I'd take it into John Lewis yesterday for the Ojon shampoo and conditioner swap. Well, I was there before 9.05am and there were none left  I wasn't impressed, what a joke. I did get a free shampoo sample which is not the same :(

Away to read the rest of the thread.

I went to John Lewis too and by 9.10am was told they had all gone. Apparently it had been mobbed this morning. Store only opened at 9am and it was empty. Thought to myself mobbed by staff helping themselves! Girl behind me just said that out loud with the sales assistance stumbling around trying to insist they didn't get anything. Yeah right. Seriously not impressed with JL.

I was informed yesterday that Liz Earles advent calender was £100!!! I said 'Oh my' but not as poiltely!!:rotfl:

I know I saw this too on her website. The woman surely has lost touch with reality. Seriously, and this comes from someone who loves buying cosmetics as gifts who would want to spend £100.00 on a load of travel sizes.

No further UUs to report just yet. I did coerce MrM into buying some Benefit gifts for Emma yesterday on the flash sale. My HG Lemon Aid sadly was sold out by the time he logged on! Grrrr! Hope this doesn't mean they are discontinuing it.

Have repainted my finger nails and am wearing Avon Gunmetal. x
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

that advent calendar looks lovely but the price is mental!

me and my mum were eyeing up the LIB one but at £60 we decided it was still far too steep for a collection of samples and we sat down and realised we'd only really use a few! we have decided to take the £30 each we've saved and do our own, with things we want in! we liked the mavala polish so we are getting one of those each, getting a bag of thorntons choccies cz every advent calendar needs choccys and trying to see just how much we can get for the remainder! will involve INs but i'd rather they were things i wanted!
  • Working my way through some samples which are cluttering my room. UUs to report;

Stage Performer - Instant Glow by Shu Uemura : Nice, thick texture without feeling too greasy on the skin. WIB? Yikes1 ust looked up the price and it's £36 and it doesn't even look like a 100ml size. I'll stick to my raw shea butter,

Idealio Pro cream serum: This was in the Stylist magazine? WIB? No, never seen the point of a serum seems a pointless product if you can find a decent moisturiser/cream instead.

Nivea Soft: I can see why the brand is very popular as it does sink nicely on to the skin but it is too perfumed and has paraffin as a main ingredient, which I try to avoid so I would not buy it.

What a lovely idea evilsquid. Such a personal touch.

I have a UU this morning. Very rare this month. 7ml Jasper Conran fragrance. WIBA - yes I love, love, love this. I have another 7ml size and 100ml still in the stash.

Have a uu this morning -

BS Lemon Whip Body Lotion - WBA as it was a lovely fluffy body lotion but it was almost impossible to get out of the bottle. This was just a mini size so not sure what the packaging is like on the full size.

    Also have ins

    1. Botanics Face Brush
    2. S&G Scrub of your life x 2
    3. S&G Shower gel (have forgotten which one but it is in a tube)
    4. Collection concealer - HG and my other is running low
    5. Collection smoky eyes kit
    6. Bourjois blush in Rose Frisson

I have 6 ins due to the 3 for 2 offers. Oh well.

I agree with others about the LE advent calender - would never consider it at £100 or anywhere near that price.
