From what I have heard, its internal so it takes off ram from the PC, luckily im goint to use my £100 graphics card if I get my PC, and buy more ram and a second HD(im just like that)0
-
Btw. I was hoping someone could tell me what model the graphics card is - and does it have connections for dual monitors. Also what is the motherboard too?
There is a graphics card on the motherboard, but it also has an x1300 as well, cannot remember the manufacturer. This card does have connections for dual monitors. I cannot remember the motherboard. I would have a look, but it is wrapped and hidden away for a birthday present.0 -

no I know there is a separate graphics card - I just needed to know if it had dual monitor support as that's kinda vital when you have 2 monitors! Not interested in fancy graphics anyway - It will be more than capable of running illustrator, photoshop and inDesign so that's all I'm bothered about.
I will also be getting more RAM though and putting my old HD in it.0 -
Yes it has Dual Monitor Support,
the Video card has 128mb of ram of its own and a VGA output and a DVI output (And SVideo for connection to a TV)
There is also a VGA output from the built in on board video, but not worth bothering with.
My daughter has hers running to a monitor and to LCD screen on bedroom wall, dual support works fine
As for upgrading
1 SATA Connector in use 250GB HDD (3 Spare available)
1 IDE Connector (1 Channel in use by DVDRW) 1 spare for IDE HDD
2 Memory slots 1 in use with 1Gb Memory so room for upgrade
The Built in Networking is Gigabit not 10/100 so no upgrade worries there.
There is no chance of overclocking it as the board is locked down solid, and no signs of a replacement BIOS, which is a shame as its a stonking CPU for overclocking if you are into it, overclocks of 80 to 120% are common on this chip
2 Spare PCI slots + 1 Spare PCI E once the built in Modem is removed.
So all in all easy to upgrade, the only thing I may consider in the future is 40 quid on a mew Motherboard to allow overclocking if she needs more umph from it in the future.

Still no dispatch emails from PC world, anyone any luck?0
-
Yep! I got my dispatch a few hours ago..
I was also thinking a new motherboard in a year or so's time would be a plan - you will be able to get them for next to nothing by then for this CPU and then you could overclock it - and this processor is meant to be amazing overclocked!0 -
Received my confirmation email at 4.450
-
Recieved confirmation at 4.15, and checked status and says dispatched at 4.15 from Hatfield Terminal, so hope I get it tommorow!0
