Not a bad spec, it's just a shame it only got 1 PCI Slot.

Any chance you can explain to me what the relevance of it only having 1 PCI slot is?
I'm can't think what the pci slot is used for (bit thick when it comes to some aspects of pcs)

for upgrades that require a PCI slot ... i.e. a firewire card, a 56k modem (already has one in this case), some more usb points etc.

There was probably more need for them when motherboards didnt have sound and ethernet intergrated, I'm sure most customers won't need the PCI slot. It's handy its there.

You can take out the modem too and get 2 slots.. plus most things can be added through usb instead of PCI these days.

This is indeed a bargain, individualy would cost:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 £82.24

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit Edition DVD £75.19

    GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC5300 £42.29

    Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB £46.99

    Liteon DVD-8900 16x DVD±RW/RAM £16.44

    512MB X1300 Graphics - Around £50

    Logitech Cordless Desktop EX-110 - Retail £21.14

Total £334.29 - And the CPU is on sale so normally over £100

The graphics card can be got for around £20 actually (as it's not really 512 - they steal from the main memory) - and the CPUs have all been reduced by intel this week so £80 is the standard price for it now.

It's also not a cordless keyboard or mouse.. but that's an advantage as far as I'm concerned. Use my PC too much to use wireless. Would eat batteries!

Also the ram is a single 1gb stick - which can be got for around £30 if you look out for them..

It's still a great price, but maybe not quite as great as you are suggesting.

I hope I get it this time - not impressed that it's more expensive though! grr.

Went for one of these last time and got a confirmation email only for them to cancel the order.

Gone for one this time and still haven't received an email. If they cancel it again I think I'll be making an official complaint.

back in stock!? grrr that makes me angry because they cancelled my order and told me it wouldn't be back in stock.

They did the same to me! Surely they should honour the cancellations first

But of course, they're charging an extra £25

Yes - I've already complained by email that I thought this was unfair.

I ordered as I didn't want the item to go out of stock again, but I've emailed to ask if they will honour my original order with the new stock.

They're processing my new order at the moment - my sister just received a phone call from them checking I'm not fraudulent because my bank details are at my parents address, but I live in Manchester (student). So at least they're doing something.

I'm expecting an "out of stock" email though really. Grr.

Damn useless PC World site. I will be kicking up a fuss this time if things don't get sorted out.

Doubt you will get anywhere, especially by email when an email monkey can fob you off and then take several more days to reply to your complaint.

You'll need to phone up and escalate your call to a manager.

The stock management system for delivery and instore items is not what you would expect. It's not real time and it doesnt accurate depict stock levels. Only phoning the store or telesales is accurate.

My advice like I said on hotukdeals is to hang five, wait for the next round and order. This unit is selling instore at the moment and in currys, so there is bound to be more returns.
