Had the cover off mine to have a nosey (usually do this before i even boot up!!) and you should see the beasty cooling fan for the cpu, wow, om very impressed. :j Maybe its just because our old system was a bit from the dark ages in comparison but im sure others will be impressed too.

    oem-index.htm

Also found i have a 350w psu with 'noise killer' model written on it

As someone else said theres 2 memory slots which only one is used for 1gb so handy for putting another stick in.

One thing i think is bad setup and that is having my hard disk as only 1 partition. I usually set mine up to 4 or more. I would have expected it as a shop set up though to have at least 2 partitions with one of them being the recovery section.

Ive got no problem formatting my machine and starting from scratch and partionning the hard drive to how i want it but does anyone know if its easy enough to get into the bios on a shop setup system? I have heard them make them difficult to get into sometimes.

Big thanks to Op, mine arrived today, looks brand new, and very pleased so far-the DVD rewriter even has Lightscribe technology! However, all is not well with the Recovery DVD process, same as Vicky, mine says "Recovery DVD already created", will be calling to ask for a Vista Recovery DVD-anyone else had the same problem?

They should all have it as its standard on the drive they use,

but you can check by opening the DVD drive on the front of the unit when the drive door is open it will have the lightscribe logo on the front of the actual DVD RW unit.

The CPU cooler seems to be overkill on a 4300 but at least its speed controlled so in normal use spins very slowly and is silent!

    ALMOST FORGOT!!

If calling PCWorld to arrange the Recovery DVD, dont waste money using the expensive 0870 number, call 0800 0565732 option 5 then option 3 if they insist you speak to techguys ask them to connect you rather than using the 0870 number

    Hope that helps

    Cheers

    Hi Vicky,

Thanks for your informative post. I just spoke to someone from the Tech Guys on the number you supplied, and was told to take his reference number
and go down to my local PC World and ask them to order some discs for me.
I think I have 2 hopes for this to happen, Bob hope and No hope...

When you spoke to the Tech Guys, what did they suggest you try before they agreed to send you out some discs? Did they pass you through to another department to send you the discs? Also, did they say if they were sending you an OEM Vista Premium DVD or the Advent DVD created especially for the T9308?

    Thanks in advance!

My colleague just said he looked at the PC World site and the PC is £239.99 and 'temporarily out of stock'

There is still hope for those of you who got screwed.
