I would chase them and complain,. if you think they are using the declined payment as an excuse.

How often do PC World update their refurbished list? I can't be long before all the reconditioned PCs are going to come with Vista. Kicking myself that I missed out on this bargain!

your best bet is to keep your eyes on this sub forum and hotukdeals. If you want to go looking urself, also monitor dixons and currys sites.

Some chap mentioned another deal on the first page of this thread?

My order's been cancelled too :mad:

Sent a reply letting off some steam, after all, the exact same pc (admittedly not refurbished) is available off the site with a 17" monitor for £500 so it's not like they haven't got any stock.

No doubt that'll get nowhere.

Best to phone up I think, you never get anywhere with emails with these kind of companies.

Mine arrived this morning by DHL at 7.45am!!

Not bad as I only paid for the basic 5 to 7 day delivery

Great looking system, would not be able to tell it was a refurb unless they had said so in the ad, everything is still all sealed. and the protective film on it all.

Just plugged it into my 40" LCD TV and network to make sure it boots, and it went straight into the Vista setup.

Dont really have time to play with it today, have to go out for a few hours,

So will be playing tonight,

This is for my daughter but I have a few changes planned for it before it goes into service with her..

Mine is out for delivery too. My neighbour works for them though and usually signs for it and then brings it home with him when he finishes, which mean ive got to wait until about 5pm. Cant wait.

Not sure if i should ask this here (prob should be on techie board) but as its a dual core at 1.8 is it right to assume it runs at 3.6 or not? I know i read somewhere that a 1.8 core 2 duo is better than a 3ghz machine.

Im just thinking when it comes to game specs what we can look to be able to play on it processor wise.

Just got mine, looks like an excellent machine. It is just going through initial set up just now.

There are 2 PCI slots on it, but 1 has a Telephone modem in it, so can easily be removed to give an extra.

As a birthday present for my daughter she will be delighted.

Thanks to the OP an excellent find.

Also, only 1 stick og 1Gig Ram, so easy enough to add more memory into the spare slot if required later.
