Any chance you can explain to me what the relevance of it only having 1 PCI slot is?
I'm can't think what the pci slot is used for (bit thick when it comes to some aspects of pcs)

Can be used for firewire, extra USB ports, TV card, wireless card, 10/100 network card, 5.1 sound card, that's about it really.

You can take out the modem too and get 2 slots.. plus most things can be added through usb instead of PCI these days.

You could if it had a modem, there's no mention of it having one in the specs.

It does have a modem. Someone who bought it in round 1 swapped it out for a freeview tuner card.

Update: I ordered this at 12:20 today and have now received the first two confirmation emails. It's still available to order on the website so maybe a few have come back.

It's the third email that counts. Good luck!

The tickbox isn't accurate, if you phone telesales they will tell you the exact number of any item they have if you tell them the product code. When I phoned today it was zero.

I have had an email back from customer services - they're actually very quick at replying - it was the same guy that phoned me back last week when I complained so he was actually pretty useful. There was no mention of the order being cancelled for the second time from the CSR so there's still hope.

still don't have my final confirmation yet though.

The confirmation shouldn't come till Monday (the next working day) .... money didn't go for a few days after.

The confirmation also contains a DHL tracking number.

I guess a cancellation would come till then either.

I bought a refurbished PC from PC world about 2 weeks ago. It arrived without a power cable, with three handbooks (none of which are for this PC), two mice, and a rather snazzy keyboard. I rang the helpline to get a power cable and handbook, and today I got ... a keyboard, speakers and two mice!

PC is fab, its an Advent, has a Dixons sticker on the back.

The trackball mouse has the "traditional" green fitting, but my computer wont find it, and I have no software. Any ideas?
