It crashed 2-3 times this year. But it didn't affect me. Still I'll pay 10 quid a month rather than 50.Seriously, if you look at the costing for 4G plans in other parts of the world (especially the USA) our plans in the UK are the best value by far.
Seriously I don't care how much it costs abroad.. Here it is too expensive for what it is.0 -
Looks like you have it wrong Diamonds regarding the Lumia 920, an extractionfrom an artivle in the crave section of Cnet (sorry cant post links yet)
"EE exclusivity doesn't exactly make Nokia's new flagship available to as many people as possible, and as the Lumia 920 will be one of the most tempting Windows Phone 8 mobiles around, the deal could hurt the uptake of the operating system.
If you want to buy the Lumia 920 you can also get it from Phones 4U, though you'll only be able to buy it on an EE contract. While Nokia tells me pre-order smart phones are winging their way to customers today, those looking to buy the Lumia 920 right now will still have to wait a few days -- early November is when we should see the 4.7-inch mobile on sale."
tech website, not me...SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
phones4u will be selling the Nokia 920 simfree for £459.99. The only contract you'll be able to get it with is EE, otherwise cough up the 459 to use it with any other network!0

With all due respect, you are at the budget end of spend, so it'll always be too expensive for you..... No way will there be a £10 option for many years..I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -

Not always I was at the budget end. I signed a contract with T-Mobile in August 2010 and got a new just out Samsung Galaxy S phone (the best android phone at the time) for £25 a month, I paid £117 for the phone. I got 300mins, 300 texts and unlimited internet (3GB with fair usage policy as they called it).
Quite a leap for a top range phone with contract from £25 then to £50 now in only what.. 2 years time?0 -

Except Nokia have confirmed that the SIM free 920 are... locked to EE.0 -

Hmm, I'm confused. Until now I've always thought that "sim free" and unlocked meant the same thing. Are you saying that all the retailers that are offering the 920 sim free are actually selling phones that are locked to EE and therefore won't work on other networks? Can you link to where Nokia have confirmed this?0 -
This is where it gets confusing - see this retweet - Nokia say:A SIM-free Lumia 920 bought from P4U will be locked to the EE network so will only work on Orange & T-Mobile.
So some good news because you will at least be able to get it on cheaper orange and t-mobile price plans? well EE think differently:T-Mobile is not EE. EE runs along side T-Mobile and Orange. You can only get a Lumia 920 with EE.0 -
Thanks for that, I wonder how many sales Nokia are going to lose through this, I was going to buy the 920 but I'll be looking elsewhere now:(0
