Nationwide mortgage

I applied for the mortgage in March Tuesday 20th this year. Had the valuation and offer back Wed 28th. So a week and a day
My broker did it all electronically.
I got texts from Nationwide frequently informing me that application was submitted, survey booked, survey completed, mortgage offer etc0 -
I hope my experience is quick also, already have a AIP but full application is being submitted this afternoon, i wonder if i will get these text alerts too as i'm going through a broker?
How anyone can say buying/selling a house is enjoyable.
I don't think I've ever been this uncertain before. All should go well as they have all the documents they need but i'm not very good at waiting!!!
I want to move in before Christmas, thankfully the chain is only 3 people long.. the person buying mine is in rented, the person im purchasing from is emigrating.
Oh the wait! I hope its quick..and smooth...0 -

I went through a broker last time and I got the texts. Nationwide specifically ask if you want them so your broker will ask you. They are really handy although this time I got all 4 on the same day! LOL0 -

I have no patience when it comes to house moving. I thought getting the mortgage offer would be the most painful bit sorted but today I find out my conveyencer has on holiday until Monday and has received the the draft contracts but done nothing with them.0

It's annoying isn't:cool::cool::cool: it!
To submit my mortgage application i have to pay the valuation fee. Apparently Nationwide had a glitch on their system which meant that every time the MA tried to hit submit, it was attempting to take a payment for £1500 instead of £345.. And its still not been sorted today... I am a woman on the edge............ LOL0 -
Hi first time poster, but been reading these posts for a couple of weeks and they have gone same way to dealing with my impatience. My husband and I are first time buyers too. Full application at start of last week. Recieved an email to say survey was satisfactory at the start of this week (approx 5 working days). Then silence and still haven't heard.
Applying through an independant mortgage broker.
Completely understand the nervousness/worry being experienced by others. Keeping my fingers crossed for ourselves and those of you waiting to hear back. Good luck0 -
