Morning all
Feel very lucky with my boys, they don't fridge or freezer raid, and are good about asking before eating things.
Pinch Punch....that takes me back....showing my age now:rotfl:
very lucky Dusty....my girls have a force of habit from a few years back when I used to work til 9pm....their job was to cook dinner for themselves and keep me leftovers, but since DS was born I constantly have to remove food from under their noses otherwise they would eat me out of house and homeThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
I had a semi productive early morning.
I have drafted the letter for my sister and I to sign for the house insurance, already emailed it to myself so when I travel to see her I can just update it with the Policy number and whack in the enclosures and job's a good'un
Now probate has been granted, I have drafted two important letters ready to go into the Study at some point and get the appropriate references to slap on and take with me for my sister to counter sign
Managed to fall asleep at about 6am to be woken slightly after by kitchen cupboard doors banging, to find what could have been the ingredients for pancakes being assembled in the kitchen :eek::eek:
So I told them cereal and toast only, in the dining room and I am definitely a bear with a sore head and I will know if they have done ANY cooking even if they THiNK they have cleaned up after themselves - evidence suggests they had buttered toast - no forensic examination required:rotfl:
Chucked DD3 friend out at 8.45 as she had to be home by 9, so had a quick quick S&S round kitchen and main bathroom and
WM x 2 and TD x2, before planning to take DS to nursery
Just getting his boots on when DD3 and friend turned up saying her Dad said she was allowed to stay for lunch.....In my day there was a phrase called outstaying your welcome, but I fear it longer exists.....I chucked them out to the park saying I didn't know when I would be back in the vain hope that I would get some time to myself.
Compared m&&rkats and saved £100 on house insurance :money: Martin Lewis would be soooo proud, so that is paid for and automatic renewals cancelled on the old one.
DD3 bed and guest bed stripped and stain treated  ready to go in after this quick cuppa and catch up, just had DD3 and friend turn up again as they saw the car on the drive....so my peace is now shattered again.
DIY helper is here and drilling so peace is going to be in very short supply.......I feel like doing a Reggie Perrin :rotfl:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -

I've always thought they react so strongly because strong wind must feel like a super-strength cold fan on their delicates (as mine always have their tails pointing skywards). Just the thought of it makes me skittish.Better is good enough.0 -

Flyladies and Gents, I want to share something with you. I/We have been in this house for 19 years and until late July this year the cleaning was always something I absolutely dreaded, did the minimal amount and always felt guilty
We had the plumber here on Tuesday, who commented that the shower room he installed four and a half years ago looks new. The electrician last night commented that when we next decorate the the sitting room we can fix an electrical problem, 'But it looks newly decorated so that won't be for a while.' It was last done in 2001.
I am so grateful to everyone who contributes and thereby helps me to keep me on top of things, particularly JulieJim and Dusty Kitten for the lists. For men to comment on how clean the place looks - that's quite something, and it has all been achieved in three months.
Thank you so much, everyone.Better is good enough.0 -
All I've managed to do after the bathroom was getting myself downstairs, another cuppa, getting washed and dressed and getting the halloween posters down.
QUESTION......... I've got all the blue tac off but they have left a greasy mark........I've read that bread might get it off, but does it have to be white or will brown bread work, or will it need to be painted, TIA xx0 -

Change of plan, as kids slept late so shopping shelved until tomorrow.
Bathroom and shower room cleaned and towels now in the wm.
HH paperwork now whilst kids eat lunch. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
