  • Good afternoon :D

I have done 1 load in WM which is now in the TD, cleaned downstairs toilet & basin, and done a few more words on the essay while I was waiting for the rain to stop. When it stopped I took the boys (7 & 14) & the dog out to the woods. They all had a good time splashing in the brook & the mud and all got filfthy (but happy :) )

I think I need to do at least HHStudy. Anyone want to join me in HHSomething?

not sure if its the weather but haven't had 1/2 so many trick or treaters tonight still got 1/3 of a bowl of sweets left. told eldest DS to give sweets out while i was in the bath earlier and heard knocking at the door so ignored it, 2nd time it was more forceful then hear a male adult voice call of something about going over the road. thought it was a dad with his kids, came down it was the police, they'd pushed a letter through the door warning about recent burglaries in the area. im hoping that doesn't explain why the house over the road from me has had a police car outside it most of the morning and a scientific support van outside this afternoon (but it probably does):(

fed everyone and washed up (so i wont have it to do in the morning now:T) DH has taken DS1 and his friend to a concert in town but they are getting a lift back with friends parents so we can watch Dallas in peace. just waiting for DS2 to get back from trick or treating with his friends so i'm going to have a HHme time with my cross stitch

    night all

  • had a quick fly around the living room after getting DS to nursery, 2 loads in WM and stood over DD3 while she loaded the DW after the chocolate cake debacle from yesterday.:D:D:D

Still can't eat properly :(, inhaled some porridge, took more painkillers put myself down for a nap for an hour. Just enough time for a quick shower and get DS from nursery. Thought I would have a quick check in on the list before my DIY helper appears to sort out my pipework, so I might get cracking on the bathrooms before the water gets turned off......

    Will check in again later........

    Wednesday - Bathroom & Study
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Clear and mop/hoover floors[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Clean toilets esp under the rim[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean baths/showers/sinks[/STRIKE] 3 times :mad::mad::mad:
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Delete 50 emails, bookmarks, etc[/STRIKE]
Stock up medicine cabinet for Winter- did this a few weeks back and all out of date medicines taken to pharmacy for secure destruction
[STRIKE]Wipe screens and keyboards[/STRIKE] laptop only
    Extras
Catch up on any phone calls
    Fill a charity/ebay/rubbish bag

    WMx 8, TD x 8 DW x 2
    S&S kitchen
    hotspot living room

hoovering sawdust migrating round downstairs, LR, DR, Kitchen and hallway
playing fetch and carry for DIY work

Bit upset DD3 got Halloween make up all around the main bathroom as my ensuite and bedroom is off line as all the floorboards are up.

Fake blood stained the bathroom sink :mad::mad: just got all cleared up when DD3 brought a friend back for a sleepover quoting my Mum won't mind do you ???? Mum minds, Mum minds a great deal :mad::mad:

I told them to make sure they removed all their halloween makeup so it didn't get smeared all round the sheets, as I am now out of washing powder. I heard the shower going, used all the hot water for the night.....every towel in main bathroom was wringing wet, bath mats are soaked ( they were fresh down this afternoon as part of the 8 wash loads), black greasy goo round sink and bath....I am beginning to wish I had let them go to bed with dirty faces, a lot less washing for me....

I estimate I have 3 more washloads without mine and DS stuff tonight...I wish I had kept DD3 on her grounding now rather than being a softie.

DS has just fallen asleep after missing his nap.......so glad I had a nap earlier, but feeling very hormonal tonight as I am exhausted, but the house is reasonably straight as it can be....

I need to be up early tomorrow to be on guard duty to prevent destruction of my kitchen in case of cooked breakfast following the sleepover :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Oh daar skintbreeder. You sound rather fed up.

DS2 left most his dinner then ate 2 muller yogurts and half a packet of Choc digestives. DS1 came in at 10, I cooked his pork chop and he left it claiming it was too pink! The cat was delighted and he is hungry. I need to get a padlock for my fridge!

2 baskets of ironing done. Taking the 2 youngest to work with me tomorrow. Deep breath!!!!

Mumto5, I need a padlock for my fridge, my cupboards, everything!

After I posted I heard fridge/freezer doors going, then the back door to the Utility....I went downstairs to prevent a flylady disaster zone to find the oven on and DD3 carrying half the contents of my chest freezer in her arms as a midnight "snack" for her and her friend. And it was all the good stuff too!

I frogmarched DD3 and the offending items back to the freezer and told them if they were hungry, it was toast, or cereal, or a little of both to be eaten in the dining room only. Squash only in the dining room....I do not want to be waking up in the morning to find blackcurrant stains all on the upstairs carpet.

Funnily enough they didn't want toast and cereal, so they had a quick drink in the kitchen before I shooed them upstairs......

Now I can't sleep :( so I have come on here for a rant and to see if anyone else wants to join me at stupid o'clock for HH-admin or something equally quiet flying :D I have some letters that need drafting for my sister for her house insurance as she is getting nowhere by phone

Catch you all again at a sensible hour :rotfl:

That must have been quite a night for you, SB. Hope you achieved something positive in your HHAdmin. I get nights like that, too, when the only thing to do is to get up and achieve something, then try to catch up on sleep later - but my children are all grown up and flown from the nest many years ago, and it is obviously far easier for me to catch up with sleep than it must be for you with your children.

I was up at 5.45 and the alarm went off at 6 - I have to be at the station in an hour. Have made DH's sandwich lunch, and he says he will get fish and chips tonight. I'm meeting DD and DGSs in London at 9 and taking the boys (aged 4 and 2) to Greenwich for the day, staying the night with them and then doing something else with them tomorrow - Granny's half term fun days! At least they are still young enough not to have to pay for them on public transport! :D

DH is saying he will miss me and he really means it :A

Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))) to poorlies and anyone else who needs them.

    Morning All

Skint breeder - you didn't get much sleep then did you? I'd start hoovering to get them up but then that would wake the others too wouldn't it!

If his injection has arrived, DS has got the hospital this morning and then I've got Beavers tonight and I need to go to MR As this afternoon to pick up some doughnuts for them so another busy day. I think I'll get up and do a HHC now then it will be time to put DS's cream on and then I might jump in the bath. I need to sort the DR out as everything got shoved into a great big pile in there when the girls were cooking tea on Tuesday so that they could use the table - including my car keys because they happened to be on the table - so it's an even worse mess in there than it was before.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs
