After much deliberation I have decided to join you guys!

.....But never fear, some serious budgeting and living the life of a hermit in between birthday commitments will see me through the month unscathed...I think. My major downfall is buying super cheap crafting bits on ebay so for NOvember I am calling an outright ban on ALL crafting materials!

I don't have a food budget for the month as I live at home with my ever-supportive Father,

    YAY!! HARDCORE MSE-ING FOR ALL!

This is the kinda post I like... banning all fun and games and living the life of a hermit. This is hardcore talk right there! Well done - you have been marked and numbered....

    WELCOME.....

I am not sure if we will get trick or treaters as first october in the house and it is very family focused area - bought some sweets at Lidl just incase - hoping they dont come and then we have sweets for NOvember :)
I am also going to bake some biscuits this weekend from the storecupboard as I am sure I have enough to make a big batch!

oh and I am going to find the BBC programme - thanks Igamogam
Love reading the oldstyle board...always something to learn!
  • Okay you can count us in as well.

Grocery budget will be £100, (£20 down on £30 a week).

Dont have a car so I'll use the petrol allowance for the public transport and taxis for business, I absolutely cannot walk 2 miles to town with all the stuff for a stall:rotfl:.

Possible, one meal out with a friend depends on her diary, and have a day out planned towards the end of the month.

Think that's it, good luck everyone.
  • Well, I've just gotten my last couple of big spends out of the way in preparation for NOvember. The car cost £90 for brake repairs (essential for me to get to and from work), on top of the £170 it cost me last week to tax it another year, and the £45 of fuel it's just swallowed.
Last minute shopping tomorrow, but fridge, freezer and cupboards are already bulging so I doubt I'm going to need much.
I'm all budgeted up and quite excited about the whole thing to be honest. Looking forward to some hardcore mse. My mother actually offered to lend me some £ today to cover the shortfall in my wages, but I've said no - I'm determined that I can be frugal - then when my wages arrive next month they really will be there for the Christmas rush.:D:p:j

  • Well good day one and all.. I have been drifting through the site and realized that there are a few that have signed up to the NSD thread without the obligatory 25 NSD's...

Can the culprits please go back and pledge higher ....

Suzitiger ..currently at 10 - you need to pledge another 15...
    TomandJerry...currently at 20 ( although I know your pay-day is different ) - try squeeze out another 5...
