Oh please count me in too. Luckily went food shopping yesterday :p but that counts towards my food budget for November of £220 for the four of us (two plus 1/2 and cat). An additional £50 is budgeted for days out, birthdays etc. Today is day one of being smoke-free so that should help dramatically (spending on fags causes associated spending like mints, snacks etc because I have a broken tenner in my wallet:mad:). I've signed up for 25 NSD on the November NSD challenge...(P.S. going over now to increase from 20 to 25 )

Need to have enough money left over to pay off credit card and buy curtains ~£600
DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/25

I think it's the grocery as she took the number for my grocery spend out of my post.

  • That figure is food! Food is always the one that gets over done so that's where I am keeping an eye on you all. What you have planned for spending is on your conscience...:D

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
    Hello fellow NOvember challengers :)

I have been giving a lot of though to how i am going to acheive this, and have come up with 3 money saving things that i can do:

1-Shop online. I know there are advantages to shopping in store (namely the YS- yellow sticker- deals) but i feel like i will be able to stick to my budget better if i dont enter a SM (supermarket) at all.

2- Use my car as little as possible. I am very guilty of driving to Tesco (2 min walk) or to take my youngest son to school (10mins walk), and petrol is, as we all know, stupidly expensive! This will also help with number 1, as i am 20mins to the SM that i regularly use.

3-Save water. Living in the area of the UK which has the most expensive water rates, i need to keep an eye on this, and find ways of using less water. Any ideas for this would be REALLY appreciated. I am already on a meter.

So, those are the 3 main things i'll be concentrating on during this NOvember challenge.

Are there any specific things that others are concentrating on?

Hello all are we feeling brave ? I am a little scared  I have worked out a budget for NOvember. I will have £180 for all groceries and pet food that is down by £20. I have 2 birthdays and a day trip out already planned and I cant let people down. So I will need £100 for those. The rest of my money stays in the bank. I will learn to say no to people and keep my purse closed. Good luck all I am stock taking and meal planning tonight for the month I know how to live:D

  • I'm in please :D

Food budget normally £200 for family of 4 plus dog but Now will be £180 for NOvember.

I already agreed to buy my mum's christmas present with my sister so £20 is accounted for for that.

I have to say that I will be buying little things for my children for christmas. (bargains, Amazon, super saver delivery) time is ticking on now and I have to so I'm not counting that but everything else... I'm in!

Oh, my work uniform might arrive in NOvember so might have to pay that off.

    Bring it on!
