If it's any help, I saw a blog post about making cupcake flannels using cut-down paper cups, if that's easier to source than muffin cases: http://www.pompomemporium.com/content/how-make-a-cupcake-a-washclothfaceclothflannel
Tea Toters
On a separate note, I've found another cute knitting pattern: http://www.simplynotable.com/2012/tea-toters/
Again, it's not mine but I have tried it and it is very easy to make. It's a sort of mini purse. You're supposed to put tea bags inside but it would also work as a child's purse. Very little wool required so it's cheap to make. Stick in some tea bags samples - Twinings usually has an offer available?

Hi, I am going to make soap this weekend from Kirsties homemade Christmas! I think it will cost me about £15 in total and (hopefully) make lots of bars for pressies! (It takes 6 weeks to set hence why doing it now!)

I will let you know how I get on!!0 -

That looks scary! "Leave them to dry in a cupboard for six weeks so the caustic soda dissolves and the soap won’t have any harmful effects on your skin." Will you be using your "food" saucepans and mixing bowls or will you buy specific "soap" ones? Good luck with your soap making - I'm impressed that you're going to try, regardless of how they turn out.0 -
Haha Thanks - I know, it does look a bit scary! But if Kirsty can do it!!!
Well I am going to use a the car washing bucket for the chemical bit, and I have got a big pan at home which I will melt the oils in as they are edible items anyway! I am quite excited so I will post some pictures once they are done (before the 6 weeks drying time!)0 -

Just ordered some twinings samples! Next project for me! Thanks0 -
I am going to make a "charity apron" for my mum - I have bought some vinyl type table cloth fabric and will be getting the ribbons/pin bases for the charities important to us (cancer/alzheimers/diabetes predominantly). Put "MUM" on it and a pocket also
I also found a cute thing on pintrest - using the bottles that oil is stored in (with posh metal spout) and writing on "dish soap" and filling as a posh washing up liquid holder
I am also going to be attempting a home made neck warmer and possibly some vicks shower discs
