This excuse of an energy company languishes at the bottom of the customer service league and yet imposes the largest price rise on its customers!

    What a bunch of cowboys!

I literally just switched to EDF to avoid massive increases from my old supplier, I wonder if this price increase will affect me ?!

So in a nut shell if you look at the dirty tactics of edf energy the price rise of just over 10% is a lie.

they have scrapped blue plus April 2014 and May 2014 and now come up with March 2015 with a price differance from April 2014 of 19 % so they are making a fortune.

Why is the regulator not putting a stop to this practise. Robbing bas**eds.

Depends which tariff you signed up for. If you signed up to one of the Blue tariffs then the prices won't rise until the end of the tariff's fixed period. If you opted for a variable tariff then it's bad news I'm afraid.

Not if you've been following the advice Martin has been banging on about for the last 2 months.

But if you have "literally just switched to EDF", it doesn't sound like you probably have been :(

    Hi all

am currenntly with EDF on their variable tarrif, and use total of £959 for gas/electricity a year. Phoned them to express my disgust and was offered to sign up for their Blue+ Fixed til March 2015 (3 winters), at an additional cost of £98 per year, I know its more than i pay now, but is it worth locking in at that price til March 2015?
    Cheers

Or scottish power fixed til April 2014 for an extra £4 a year?

I dunno, it said to use a price comparison site, so I did... get some cashback and stuff, and EDF was the cheapest. I have a prepayment meter. Maybe I'll just whack a couple of hundred quid on before the date and hope for the best!
