Got off the phone to a northern sounding man at Asda APG. He argued the point quite a bit. Denies any responsibility, is blaming Mysupermarket.

I even had him bring up my comparison results.. and he agrees that tesco were cheaper on a lot of items, but thats the way it goes. He then said that he'd go away and check.. (obviously spoke to his line manager).

Then he came back with this:

When an item comes up as N/A it means that one of the five supermarkets are not stocking the item. ALL five supermarkets HAVE to stock the item for it to compare.

I told him that was absolute bull.. and put the phone down. I'm off to return the chardonnay and will purchase it at tesco.

Forgot.. he did offer for me to send my receipt in to them for them to investigate.. no thanks, it will be quicker to return and buy at tesco instead.

Nearly. Just trying to get as many as I can for minimum outlay! Stocking fillers for DD's and GD.

If you are now the ironing queen there is a massive pile with my DS's name on it. He could be your surrogate until DS comes back.;);)

had a great shop at M yesterday. The SA let me have Fiery Heinz Beans and Curry Beans as well as the usual Five Beans. For some reason I also had a mulitbuy of £1.25 kick in on the Beans, but I can't work out which ones it was. Also M have a 30p voucher off Five Beans which the SA let me use as well. Posted a receipt, if someone can make sense of which Beans have a discount, it might mean that they are very cheap.

This is just a link to a folder on your PC. You'll need to upload the pic to a hosting site then link to that here.

Thanks, I was wondering why it wouldn't work. I don't think I will be able to manage it.

This is simply not true as evidenced that the Pinot Noir compared at sains but not Tesco (where is was cheaper).

(That's obviously an aside as we all know that the SA made it up).
You need to compose a nice email to the bigwig at Asda. Not sure who exactly but his name has been mentioned around here before.

The fashion for wigs began with the Bourbon kings of France. Louis XIII (1601 - 1643) went prematurely bald and took to wearing a wig. By the middle of the century, and especially during the reign of Louis XIV, The Sun King, wigs were virtually obligatory for all European nobility and 'persons of quality'.

At that time they were known in England as periwigs, which was shortened to wig by 1675.

Wigs were expensive to purchase and to keep in condition and were the preserve of the powerful and wealthy. Ostentation was the order of the day in Bourbon France and over time the wigs became bigger, often to the point of absurdity and requiring of scaffolding.
