I wish I was cleverer:o;):)
the foxs biscuits that are part of the 3 for £10 didn't show up on the apg which made the 2 other boxes of chocs compare at full price.
My guess is if you buy 2 boxes that are cheaper elsewhere you should get a decent apg back.
I'm gonna try the liquers that are £5 bogof in sainsbobs
Not 100% guaranteed to work but i've got an £8 apg voucher I can use to test it.0 -
Morning all
Can I ask the parents of older kids a question please
Those of you that have put their kids through driving lessons. How many should I be expecting to have to pay for to get a 17 year old girl with zero driving experience through her test?
Taking her out in my own car is difficult as it is not your normal everyday car.
Thanks for any advice in advance :-)
just catching up and seen you've had many replies...but not read them all yet
if I could offer one tip.....where I live is quite quiet and a 'no through road' area, so we get a lot of driving instructors using the area for 'beginning' lessons.....however a lot of this time is spent parked learning the highway code. On average, an hour lesson costs £23 here....thats to be sat in the car doing nothing
I only passed my test last year after 18mths of lessons (I had to stop and restart when pregnant with DD2 though!).... however I'd had no experience of driving before then.
I booked my theory test for a month down the line...before taking any lessons....I then revised daily and bought the online DVLA tutorial disc which tests you on all the highway code and the simulated drives...and allows you to practise 'taking your test' online in the same format they use at the exam centres.
This cost me about £12 for the disc....and I passed first time with only 1 error on the highway test and a couple on the simulated driving (not bad to say I'd never driven a car!).
I then booked my lessons...having learned the highway code, it was easier interpreting the road signs etc...and the small bit of simulated driving helped a bit. It meant that the full hour of my lessons could be concentrated on actually driving instead of learning the highway code.
Its also encouraged me to try hard to pass as you only get 2 years after passing your theory to pass your practical, if you dont, you have to pay and retake your theory test...so a bit of an incentive to get it done :rotfl:
also, worth having a look on things like livingsocial, wowcher, groupon etc as they often have local companies offering deals.... and larger companies such as AA etc often have introductory offers.
good luck to your DD, as although its expensive, its a godsend and so liberating once you've passed!
I always said I wouldnt force my kids to do anything they didnt want in life (within reason obviously)...but whether they like it or not, they will be learning to drive once they're old enough!!! Although by then, the average lesson will probably be about £100 per hour :eek:hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

So what are your options is is literally anything on the Asda 3 4 £10 that should work0 -
Thought I would try a s...bobs in my area as sda didn't have the WW or the K biscuits or crisps well got a small amount of these items no more than 1 of each plus some fillers ,D/M in tow 90.
Till assistant called s/v oh no can't take any of these, too much fraud being committed ,I say these coupons have my name printed on ,and some I won in a competition, however if that's your policy I will just leave the couponed items.
Next minute the manageress comes running down accompanied by a, wait for it WPC and says to me we have had a woman clearing the shelves and using coupons, they both look at mine, then say well these are all in order and you are not the women who has been in taking the iss..wouldn't mind I haven't been in that store in over a year and will not be going in again anytime soon.
I stayed calm knowing my coupons were genuine, and not overdone but it was an eye opener in a shop full of people and a WPC stood there .There is a police station across the road so could have been a coincidence that she happened to be there .
I am not put off couponing but will be wary ,I mean can they do this.
I feel for you ellie as I had a similar experience this morning in sainsbobs - thankfully minus the WPC. The most ridiculous part of it was they were happy to accept WW coupons which didn't scan but not Safecoupons.
I hope you emailed them, as I did - I find shopping a huge ordeal due to pain levels and don't expect to be treated as I was. I won't be going back either.0 -
